So glad you enjoyed the video, Nick! In my country there are local flea markets where we can buy antiques, including copper vessels, at low prices. It is much cheaper than buying new items most of the times. I was very blessed to manage to buy so many things at very good prices. Watching these beautiful videos always pushes my thoughts way beyond my norm, and I find myself dreaming of the limitless possibilities life offers us. In particular, I wonder if every one of us here who treasure everything about this channel all met together, would we discover that despite all our many differences, we were actually kindred spirits? And would we come to understand that all the things that push us apart are what’s desperately wrong with the world? And could we use that concept to spread peace and unity instead of hatred and war? I Restored a 1799 Colonial oceanside home in Lubec, Maine 15 years ago and lived there till my wife passed away . We went without power many times during the brutal winters, but with our old hearth fireplace and a wood stove we had the nicest safe and comfortable home that was small and embracing. Like the home was showing it's love back to us by protecting us. I Moved to Virginia and bought a new house but it's not the same. I'm lost in it even though i am making it more ....Liveable.

Although it’s almost Easter for us here in the States, the Christmas vibe in your video is a wonderful reminder that our Savior came as a babe and then offered up His life for us all. Johanna, thank you for sharing your wonderful and cozy winter solstice with us. I love all your decorations, its fun to give a new look to your abode. I love all the vintage pieces the paintings, painted furniture and knick knacks. I love the painting of the horses and carriage it reminds me of the song my 'Omi' (german endearment for 'Oma') would sing for us. It went 'over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go, the horse knows that way to carry the sleigh through the white and drifting snow.' Also, the painting that reminds you of your grandfather reminds me of 'Father Christmas'. I love the tree ornaments you made. I thought, 'what is she going to do with the twine?' The white lace and pearls were perfect embellishments. And what a lovely gathering of family and friends to share your sourdough bread and walk in the woods to find an evergreen tree to decorate with your ornaments. Everyone looked so happy and singing to. My 'Omi' used to also sing 'O Tannenbaum' to us. Your little tribe of kittens are adorable and have grown so. They love you as much as you love them. Wishing you a lovely spring. I recently rewatched your cellar video, I can't believe the craftship you put into it. The tile work is amazing. Good thing you have it for that vegetable garden of yours. Take care and be safe.
