Great vlog Adam, very educational. Visited your farm on the hottest day last year. Really enjoyed it, was hoping I would bump into you as I have watched you on countryfile a lifetime.

So glad you are doing this Adam, I’m approaching retirement and watch KZbin more than tv… too much pandering to minorities these days I find. I stopped watching countryfile well over a year ago because I wanted to hear from farmers… I watch IfarmWefarm in Ireland because of the real content. I’ve learned more from his channel than I ever would on the BBC! I wish you well with your new adventures 🐝
@paulmurray7502 жыл бұрын
I also follow IfarmWefarm and rarely watch TV/Countryfile/BBC for the same reason. Just thought you might like a channel called Just a few acres, a chap in America called Pete who had a breakdown and decided to opt out of the rat race. Let me know if you like it. Regards Paul from Co Fermanagh.

A breath of fresh air, put the story over as is, country file failed to do so, agriculture needs you and dare I say Jeremy.

In one yard I had ewes from 2-5. The thin one refuses to come in barn to eat. So I spent my winter taking food out to her and holding it by hand until she ate a full first serving. By then the rest of the ewes have gone in to eat theirs and I can leave the rest for her to take as needed. She is up to a 2-5 but I’m not sure I got it done in time to save the lamb.

What a wonderful commitment you have to your ewes. Well done. We'll keep our fingers crossed for the lamb 🤞- Arch

First time I have seen you. Absolutely spot on vlog. Maybe you could explain a little more about what happens to the lamb if disease is squired through the navel. Love the recording tablets for each pen. And of course the pencil and paper records then need to be entered electronically. Lots of doubling handling but I can see why with the large number of rostered staff this is the way things are to be done. Have you tried using lamb taxis? Oh my goodness they have been such a fane changer.

Nice to see you doing a proper farming show. It's a shame that Countryfile lost the plot and became the Pudsey Bear Show.

"It would be a mistake to idealize traditional animal husbandry as the standard by which the animal products industry falls short. Traditional animal husbandry is brutal enough, just on a smaller scale. A better standard by which to judge both practices would be the simple standard of humanity: is this truly the best that humans are capable of?" J. M. Coetzee
