Prayers for you Mom. So glad you are able to be with her in the hospital. Glad you have two hives now. You will be the Queen Bee keeper. Cats are so funny. I had to turn my blind louvers/slats down to prevent my cat from climbing. Also keep the blinds pulled up about 12 inches so she can walk the window sill. Thank you for the visit to the Walled Garden simply beautiful. Nice garden book. Your pots are always pretty in front of the greenhouse. Nicely displayed. Thanks for the video. Have a great week.

When I was a kid, one of our cats Nanki-Poo skidded across Mum's large leather jewellery case, leaving behind two long deep scratches on the top 0:04 . I now own that jewellery box and every time I see those scratches I smile because I am reminded of our beautiful boy.

Hi Catherine, I can't remember where or when (which is very helpful 😂😂) but someone was telling us about roses and was explaining that the more primitive ones usually have 5 petals that are very open. That helps bugs as you were saying. The roses with loads of petals maybe very pretty but not helpful as bees and so on can't get into the middle. They are hybrids of more primitive ones. One day you must come to Madrid in May to the Rose Contest held in the Parque del Oeste. The public gets to vote the best rose. Search Concurso de Rosas Parque del Oeste Madrid 😉. You should also visit Córdoba one day also in May to the Festival de los Patios de Córdoba. I'm so sure you would LOVE it. Thinking of you, your mum ❤ and family, sending all my love xxx

Remembering your Mom in my prayers hope your family is doing ok. Loved seeing your kittys hair cut. I had a white Persian cat and once a year she got shaved. She was left with a very fluffy head feet and tail. She even walked funny afterwards. Think she felt naked.

I have brother cats and they are same as yours, one long haired who doesn’t like to be brushed and a short hair who loves it 🤦‍♀️. I’ve trimmed nachos fluffy butt a few times but he seems to be better now, we do dry food only.

One good thing about long-haired dogs is you can take them in to be groomed, and someone else can clean their bum! 😂 And you can most definitely make your own quilted jacket. I've made one using a pullover fleece as the template and the batting (or wadding in the UK) and it's not hard!

Please let your mum now we're sending her our best wishes. I admire how neat your home is while having 2 kitties. In my case it's a non stop battle to keep my home presentable. Over the years I've had all kind of things destroyed, a leather jacket inside the wardrobe, as the sleeve was apparently perfect to climb to the rod and take a walk there, who cares if you need to rip it to climb, courtains becoming fringes, as it was so fun to fight with one kitten on each side of the curtain, vases, endless plants, record sleeves (dating myself here), a duvet cover... My current foster kittens have managed to destroy the otherwise very well hidden internet optic fibre cord twice in one month.

I had to smile when you sowed the "botch job"! btw, cats can't digest anything other than meat. while they might like he taste of other things, you'll just be causing inflammation in their *comparatively short intestines. that's what leads to hairballs over time. SOURCE: a book I read once, somewhere, I think it was a book, yeah. jk. but I live with a roommate who had a sweet white kitty who was nearly completely deaf. she barfed constantly and to pet her was to come away wearing a white mitten of kitty fur. she was eating cat chow from a giant bowl left out for her. I asked permission to take over her feeding. I fed her raw hamburger, in a little portioned ball straight from the fridge 2x per day. Her health completely turned around. Cats - I've had cats pretty much my entire life - I'm 70, so that's a lot of cats through the years. They each have their own personality and do "their thing/s". I've had too many to mention here or it would turn into a book. I had a rescue 14 years ago and have a couple still remaining. We train our cats using a spray water bottle. It does not hurt them, they just hate being sprayed with water. They learn very quickly what they can and can't do, to not get sprayed. My cats do not get on the counters, certain pieces of furniture, they don't climb on curtains, Their favorite place is hanging out on the window seat. The Christmas Tree - I just sit the spray bottle next to the tree and they leave it alone, don't even have to use it.

I know you don't really need any more book recommendations but as you move into Autumn and Winter I wondered if you had the beautiful book "The Ivington Diaries" by Monty Don . It was published in 2010, it is a precious book which I return to often, he writes so poetically about the gardens and it is filled with lovey gentle photograpyh, a lovely book to read curled up by the fire. Ban and Beag are very cute and cheeky. My (kitten/cat) she is a few months older than your babies climbs my beautiful curtains and it drives me crazy! It's not just cats lol. I have a GSD mix dog who delights in eating stuff he shouldn't, like plastic and string. So I try my best to dog proof things but on occasion have to "help" by pulling said string from his bottom 😂🤢not with bear hands shall I add. The things we do for our furry kids . 😂 I love that brick garden it looks like a great place to sit and do nothing. And that book!!!! It's already in the basket . Take care ❤

I don't want to come across as pedantic at all, and you can say it whichever way you like but I thought you might be mildly interested to know that Velux windows are actually pronounced Veh-lux not Vee-lux. The Ve comes from ventilation and lux from the Latin for light, I think but don't quote me. I did have Velux windows in my last two homes but none now so I was aware they can be spun round for cleaning. Here in Scotland all windows above the ground floor have to be able to swivel round or open inward for cleaning which seems an eminently sensible rule. You and your mam are always in my thoughts xxx
