I’m a classical violinist and this is a really helpful video to understand a different style! I love the Georgia Shuffle!

I found an article about the rednex version, and in the first (unreleased) version the fiddle was sampled from the irish band The Chieftains version of the song. To avoid legal implications, they had a Swedish fiddler, Bosse Nilsson, record a new fiddle part. Bosse has been a member of bands called Country Minstrels and Tennesse Five.

Thanks Antonio. If I'd known that, Bosse would have featured in my rock violin book!

Really a fantastic lesson , it was nice to see you didn't use your 4th finger on the A string to make that E ,on the bluegrass ver. , makes it easier for us morals , it took a lot of work to break down each section , very very impressive . Thank you so much. Moe

Very nice Chris. I'm learning the first version, and planning to spend a good many hours on this and various of your other lessons. I might owe you a bottle of wine by the time I finish. Keep posting. Peter

Thanks for the video! However, as a Swede I’m not sure I needed reminding of the RedNex version. Haha. 🤦🏻

To play the Mountain version correctly (the 1st version in the video), you need to start the tune by C sharp to E on the A string while droning the same note on the E string. I'm a Bluegrass picker.
