This sponge cake is one of the best desserts I’ve found on yt so far! It’s so light and fluffy and delicious on its own, my friends and I finished all of it in one night. Thanks for sharing!

To me it seemed like the opposite, the sponge looks dry and it took tiny resistance to cut. You can see the knife not smoothly gliding through the layers while cutting

I've made this cake a few times, and it's very delicious. It's soft, not too sweet, rich vanilla flavor. Just perfect. Just a reminder to not line your mould. The cake shrinks if you do 😂. Learnt the lesson after twice fail.

@@jk6586 sorry, didn't notice your question before. I used 8 inch round mould, no adjustment to the recipe. Just lined the bottom, should not line the sides. Only then it rose & cooled very nicely. 😊

Depends on your round pan size but you could split the batter in half and bake it so you get two sponges. If they turn out thick just cut it in half and u’ll get 4 sponges. That would make a goood cake.

Hi, you can bake the cake in advance and keep (chill and airtight condition) for up to 3 -4 days. Whipped cream is best served right away but you can also keep it up to 3 days (chill and airtight too).

I tried this but why does my cake does like pancake? It has more egg flavor? I used all purpose flour and cornstarch instead of cake flour bcuz I didn’t have any. It didn’t taste that good…
