I'm always surprised that I both love and hate your style of carving 😀 i actually prefer the traditional way of working and find that a dremel has no place in a relief carving...BUT the result is so impressive every time that i have to correct my opinion. The combination of old and new techniques ensures a result that proves you absolutely right. The petals are just gorgeous.

Thank you! Yes I totally understand what you’re saying. I personally prefer traditional carving WAY more than power. When I carve tho I kind of have a vision in mind and I’ll do whatever it takes to get as close to that vision as possible. Even if it means using power once in a while. Maybe it’s my inexperience or lack of carving skills that makes me need to use the dremel, idk. I’m hoping that as I grow as a carver my use of power gets less and less. I want to stay true to my vision tho, not the tool.
