This just how that Kabu experience was something very important for him to even battle on the same level to younger competition with advantage against his own Pokémon. Evolving and gathering these supplies for something these pokemon, it would alot of time to train and strategizing still to this day. I guess he isn’t much blazing brilliant eternal flame but a old candle bright but if it isn’t lucky easily can go out with a simple drop of water.

I feel for Kabu, having recently done the challenge on Shield with only Scorbunny and with no DLC. I recall having to grind to 70 just for Melony, mainly for gigantamax Lapras (that max geyser does way too much, and eiscue is a thing, good thing double kick breaks ice face). And then to 95 (with a 50 Clefable) for Raihan.

Fun trick regarding sizlipede, catching a flash fire vulpix/growlithe on the same route and making it the lead of your party makes your encounters 50% fire, upping sizlipede's encounter rate. Usually way faster that way when I want to use one in a galar run

As someone who played Omaga Ruby with a team of only fire pokemons I was looking forward to a Kabu challenge. And yes a Ninetails with Solarbeam was how I beat Wallace. Loved the video and looking forward to the next one.

If you have a Pokémon with the flash fire ability at the front of your party, the chances of finding a sizzilipede shoot up to like 50% I think

I think it’s pretty in-character for Kabu to be able to beat Nessa even with the type disadvantage. He’s a very talented trainer and he’s canonically the strongest of the first three, considered the first permanent roadblock for many challengers. I don’t know about Raihan though, Raihan is almost Leon’s equal. This was a fun video though! I love Sword and Shield and its characters tbh.

Good news everyone, there's now at least 10 (not including unevolved pokemon) fire type pokemon in the grand underground, which seems catchable midgame. Actually, doing more research, as I don't own it yet, it's available after the first gym... which first off holy shit, there's more than 2 fire types, but also before the grass gym? The new guys be putting in work, and I'll eventually know their names, as I'm bad with those.
