Great information that I wish I knew before 2006 when I changed my diet to plant-based, lost 20 pounds, and lost the arthritis pain and inflammation in my fingers and one knee. Unfortunately, my other knee had been injured when I was in my teens and after that it always had slight pain and puffiness...which became bone-on-bone osteoarthritis and had to be replaced a year ago. Today I saw my surgeon and he was amazed by how well the knee has healed and how well it functions in this 70-year old who now eats only unprocessed plants and who exercises daily. I'm a biologist, so I really appreciated all the diagrams, the explanations of the physiology, as well as the practical suggestions for action.

This was totally awesome! I had previously discovered that when I ate healthy, my knee pain subsided. And when I ate bad, my knees would be sore and inflamed. This is the science behind it. Thank you so much!

My pain was from a corn allergy. I thought I needed to have a knee replacement. I was in a wheelchair for 1 1/2 years after changing to WFPB diet. Taking corn out healed my knee pain and got me up and moving!!!

Love this. Trying to avoid a knee and hip replacement in the future, which has run in my family for 2 generations thus far. Please do an exercise video with the doc like he suggested!

Great show. I am 67, a South Indian lady, a runner, tennis coach and piano teacher. I do the 100 meters in 18 seconds and recently won the bronze in the World TCS 10k in 1 hour 9 mins. My 5 young grandkids are impressed. And the secret is to worship your knees and keep them in tiptop shape. This is via a starchbased ( for me it's rice) vegetarian diet without dairy and extra oil. And of course the right amount of running and sports. I dread too much plant protein in the form of pulses after listening to DoctorJohn McDougall. Why can't people realize the evils of extra protein. I take no supplement other than B12.

I know from my own experience that black seed oil healed my knee pain from a Baker's Cyst and pain from Osteoarthritis in the same knee. It took about 2 weeks. I can bend my leg now without pain and the Baker's Cyst is gone.

A very good presentation, thanks a lot. A video of Mic the Vegan on back pain opened my eyes to oxygen and nourishment seeping into the tissues of the vertebrae and around them, through capillaries and narrow blood vessels which could have plaque and so a bad diet can in this sort of insidious way lead to back pain. Much more of this phenomenon in this video. Dr. Esser seems awesomely knowledgable, like many or most doctors I suppose but i think unlike many he gives due emphasis - what I and probably many viewers of this channel consider to be 'due' emphasis - to diet especially an anti inflammatory diet. Great. Am going ro search for the video mentioned ìn which he presents his detox diet.
