Personally I interpret it this way, but not in a literal sense. More of an aesthetic by Gege to represent higher beings in the JJK world, similar to how Mahito's final form is eyeless like Mahoraga and Rikka to represent a powerful cursed being. Sukuna revered as the King of Curses and Tengen being a worshiped immortal. Since Sukuna had to be incarnated through cursed objects, he is not immortal like Tengen and the rest of their anatomy other than eyes are different.

Kenjaku, Sukuna, and Tengen all feel like a trifecta of ways to become "undying" in JJK. Kenjaku with body hopping, Tengen with cursed technique, and Sukuna with being able to turn himself into a reincarnation item. I really hope there's deeper lore/relations that get brought up by the end of the manga, but I'm definitely not gonna hold my breath and don't want pages of exposition that are out of place. I haven't watched all the theories that are out there, but to me, things come off as Tengen naturally reaching a state of being like a cursed spirit, while Sukuna was either born to be like one or achieved mastery over his own soul and adapted his body to be more like a curse, like Mahito using Idle Transfiguration to change himself, but on a different scale through different means. Or his body just naturally warping to become more like a curse as his soul warped from use of his technique in brutal ways. The mask portion being on the right side is probably also important in figuring out the reasons because it's placed right over where the cursed technique is stored in the brain, the right prefrontal cortex. Sukuna's extra arms and mouth are what would lead me to believe this is all intentional on Sukuna's part though, moreso than him being warped without intent. The introduction of "subtraction" really helped to show how massive of a buff Sukuna's Heian form is for utility and power, and I can only assume Sukuna himself wanted such modifications to his body for those extra reasons. He already shows the ability to create functional body parts in places they shouldn't be while inhabiting Yuji (his mini-faces and a beating heart), so it's not a stretch to see his weird body as being wholly intentional and proof of his mastery over mechanics of jujutsu that other can't even fathom due to a lack of awareness of their souls. Or maybe he was just born messed up and one of Kenjaku's goals in messing with births is attempting to create another "sukuna-like" curse-human hybrid.

Kenjaku was the one with the CT to be able to turn past sorcerers into cursed objects to get them to return as incarnated players in the Culling Games - although yeah Sukuna was able to learn how to do it by just seeing him do it once. While there are a lot of theories about how Sukuna came about with his weird body, I would agree that it is most definitely intentional since his extra arms and mouth are absolutely buffs for him as a sorcerer. I don't think his little faces are necessarily part of his ability to do this since Angel also does that and healing of Yuji's heart was through RCT. But there is a theory that he has a reversal on his Cleave technique that allows him to mend body parts to himself - although how that manifests on a incarnated body brings up questions and supports the theory that Sukuna was either born that way or something to do with soul manipulation like you brought up. Kenjaku's goal with the cursed wombs was to figure out a way to elevate or "evolve" jujutsu sorcery in humans rather than trying to replicate Sukuna. His endgame remains the same trying to elevate cursed energy and therefore sorcerers through the merger.

A lot of that is inspired by Buddhism ideas and sub-Buddhism niche concepts and lore. I think cursed energy eventually leads to this type of thing happening to the human form. Maybe humans can unlock an ascended form where cursed energy is at such an understanding that you can do shit that seems impossible to do by the power system. It’s just that the characters in the story simply don’t understand curse energy enough like how tengen most likely sees it, or how sukuna has learned over the years of being the strongest. Even gojo with the six eyes didn’t have as deep an understanding of curse energy as sukuna or tengen do. I think cursed energy is like swimming deep to the bottom of a lake while everyone else is scared to go past the 6 ft mark.

I'm pretty sure the extra arms and mouth are because that's the peak form for a jujutsu sorcerer. You have the extra hands in order to perform hand signs, and the extra mouth to perform chants. And the reason you wouldn't want more of them, would be because then it takes too much brain power to do so. Takes away from your ability to do things in the moment.

Sukuna was likely a twin like maki and mai. Tengen absorbs other people who are compatible with her, into herself. One person has 2 eyes, 2 people together have 4 eyes - we get tengen's look from that. So Tengen's look is that of two people fused as one. Sukuna has the same looks with more features of two people fused into one, 4 four arms, 2 mouths, 4 eyes. Sukuna refers to himself as a wretched, cursed child. In JJK, twins are referre to as so and are treated as such. It would be reasonable to make the assumption that Sukuna was part of a twin as well, and absorbed the twin(willingly or unwillingly) to achieve this evolved form. Sukuna's black box fire technique could be his twins technique.

Hey, the actual sponsor of the video, and great video! I’m really hoping we get a Heian Era flashback, since this is stuff that likely would get answered with it and so much more. The three most ancient sorcerers being all connected this closely brings a lot of questions. I saw another comment essentially saying that these guys are all immortal in their own way. Tengen through the body aka due to their technique, Kenjaku his technique aka the brain, and Sukuna the soul. I wonder if that does mean anything, but again cant know until we get answers.

I read a theory that Tengen+Kenjaku=Sukuna. As in, Tengen is Sukuna's mother, Kenjaku his father. I think that dynamic explains why Tengen looks like Sukuna. It also makes sense, Sukuna ate his twin in the womb because he was starved, and Tengen was a monk who starved themself in search of enlightenment.

Cool theory. I've wondered about this before too. I'm pretty sure we're going to get more confirmation on this soon either in the Heian Era flashback or after Sukuna starts the merger. With what we know so far, we can only speculate so much before making 10 different theories about this which separately makes sense on their own. What I'm trying to say is that there are way too many unknown variables. Currently the most we can say for sure is that Sukuna is very unnatural.

Another parallel that the two share is how they both handled their fame after becoming super powerful. Tengen, being revered and loved by all of jujutsu society (more or less) decides to lock herself away for her own, kinda selfish protection. Sukuna, being feared and hated, never seemed to have a safe house. If anything, in all his flashbacks, he’s chilling outside, unafraid of any potential attackers(Chad fr fr) In short, one is a coward and is immortal, and the other one is a chad and (kinda) immortal

Maybe mahito wasn't his first incarnation maybe he was a curse 1000 years ago and maybe just maybe idle transfiguration is what made sukuna they way he is. I don't see many other techniques that would be able to give him a mouth on his stomach lol or sukuna being aware of the shape of his own soul was able to mold it the way he wanted. Idk just a thought.

There's also the things Angel said about Sukuna, that he is the fallen. He was probably meant to protect something or someone. He probably betrayed them or did something that he knew was forbiden and then he became king of curses, that being related with tengen or not, im pretty sure he "cheated" to get so strong.

My theory is that Sukuna met Tengen in the past during a similar state and realized he could alter his physical form. Since the issue with Tengen isn't a wholly unique thing it implies that anyone "could" alter their physical state so long as they knew how and had enough power to do it.

For me Sukuna said it all, he was born a cured and unwanted...Sukuna is the first natural curse womb, perhaps his mother possess great amount of curse energ, people with great amount of curse energy like Yuta are capable to curse people...then his mother curse him or perhaps guys the twins inside of her that fuse to form sukuna.... But if Sukuna transcend human form alone, somehow they will make Gojo do the same for his return...but the simple part is, he was human from the start, but was killed without sorcery and become a curse but he find a way to evolve differently like Tengen does from a curse form to a more human form but trace still remain on his body , his eyes, the mark....but somehow he was born a like natural curse who start his journey to become more human.
