Yeah. I don't feel the anime would be different as it has largely been a faithful adaptation so far, keeping the majority of what is portrayed generally true to the manga, choosing to embellish on the fight scenes. I think what would be generally conveyed would be the pace; most of the Sukuna fights likely would have a little expansion compared to the manga, otherwise it probably would only last about 4 episodes, probably 8 including Gojo's and Takaba's sections. That being said, the discussion surrounding the fight goes almost Jojo levels of yapping, and I absolutely cannot watch that anime due to how glacial it's content is compared to reading it. What works well on paper just doesn't work well when I have to commit to hours watching a show I have already read in about a third of that time.

@@lordbiscuitthetossable5352they added scenes that add a bit more interaction between Junpei and Yuuji. In the movie it was Yuta’s black flash and other stuff like that. So I think they might add a bit more interactions between characters. And in the end show as a special ova/episode Gojo’s funerals. Maybe not only Gojo’s but also Choso’s and Yuki’s.

If they do it like they’re doing with TYBW, of just adding new context and scenes while working closely with the original author, then I think they could definitely improve on it without destroying anything. Because I don’t at all hate the ending but still there’s a lot of confusion and given the fact the chance of a sequel is close to 0% it would be good to clear that up, as well as adding some more to some things like more Yuki, Gojo, Nobara and please have the anime actually show Uraume vs Hakari

The narrative is absolutely set up for continuation, what me, and most people I think, are worried about is that Gege won't want to continue JJK anymore after his experiences. On one hand it's literally free money, on the other there is a lot more pressure than if they move on to some other project

Except there aren't any antagonists. Inventing an antagonist out of thin air would ruin everything the original series set up. No random curse user is going to surpass Sukuna within a few months. The main cast is too powerful now, there's a reason we weren't given any fights in the epilouge. Think Boruto, but without the Otsutsukis. Naruto with his 6 Paths mode just obliterating the random fodder ninjas who try and cause conflict. Not interesting at all.

I'd love if the anime expanded the ending because it's clear it was rushed, especially the very ending chapters. Maybe a bit of a cleanup in the every vs Sukuna fight as well so he won't be hyped up more and more as he still haven't reached his full potential to get taken down by Yuji in that moment, it was anticlimactic, working to it differently could make it much better. But still, it's rather small changes. I think that's all that could get some work

I think Gege supervise the animators at Mappa so it's possible that he'd add what he couldn't prior to the manga, I have a good feeling that we'll potentially get an satisfactory ending with more to explore in world building but if that's not the case, it ain't the end of the world, it's unfortunate that Shonen endings for the most part endings doesn't hit. But it's not that bad either way.

When you compare a JJK manga chapter to the anime version, the anime version is way more fleshed out (e.g. sukuna fights, gojo vs toji etc.) So a fleshed out ending is possible ig.

I don't know about Gojo vs Toji. The fact that Toji was rusty was better conveyed in the manga than the Anime and the Mahoraga fight too as it seemed like the power level of Mahoraga was quite high in Anime version as in the manga version he didn't land a single hit after his first strike whereas in the Anime the fight felt more competitive, it reminded me of Ulquiorra vs Vasto Lorde situation as in the manga it felt like the difference between them was vast whereas in the hellverse although short it was more competitive, there were differences like Cero Oscuras and Lanza Del Relampago.

What change I really want to see in jjk is having more interactions towards the characters, the interactions in the last chapters of the manga felt more like Gege answering QnAs like simple domain lore, how the class could’ve defeated the Shinjuku showdown faster, it didn’t feel like a genuine dialogue with characters. maybe perhaps an interaction with Yuji and Gojo or Yuji and Shoko about Gojo as they are in his grave and Shoko states he understood what Gojo was going through but could never reach him, and the whole convo is basically brings a nice conclusion to Gojo’s legacy which honestly is not emphasized enough, the whole “you should forget about me” bit does make sense for him to say that but no one opposing that also felt just wrong.

@@8440k A lot, but given that stuff like Heian era flashback (which in retrospect was setting up for a spinoff) aren't realistic I'd really just want to see more character interactions in the second half and more information/foreshadowing on the missing characters that would show up later (Todo and Nobara straight up weren't referenced at all after they died) and coming plot-twists. Also Urame X Hakari would be nice to actually see

No way, but it's possible the anime will add some scenes but I don't think there will be many.Other endings are given to series that, for example, are not completed or the authors had a problem with the manga.So far Jjk has been too faithful to the manga, so apart from scenes expanding the fights, there's no point in counting on any other changes.

8:31 this is kinda my interpretation of Yuji’s domain expansion. It was his projection of his innate domain then he imbued it with his cursed technique to fight once Sukuna refused to submit. That or it was a binding vow to act as a pre cursor to his actual domain expansion to strengthen the output of his sure hit soul dismantles if his opponent doesn’t take the bargain.

Like it’ll be a top 3 fight similar to how they handled Sukuna vs mahoraga which in hindsight deserved so much more in the manga too. I think the anime will clean up some of the wonky bits and make the emotional impact hit harder, so it will feel better. I really was not a fan of the original manga ending for AOT. But I loved the anime ending and it made me super emotional, and they didnt really change much (aside from the "Thank you Eren" line people memed on).

I dont want a different ending, just a more refined one, that doesnt leave as many plotholes or unanswered questions. More character interactions would be nice too. I think its very much possible that the JJK anime would have additional elements, that Gege might have wanted to include or elaborate but just couldnt due to the deadlines. Lets hope for the best.

I think if anything there could be like a shot or two of Sukuna in the past, and Hakari vs Uraume getting a small extension or maybe more check ins is realistic, but the only other thing I can think of is maybe slightly more Yuta vs Sukuna when Yuta takes over Gojo’s body (since that chapter got split up anyway) I will say you should absolutely check out bleach (manga) and then check out the tybw anime bc the changes and differences at this point are becoming more than just fleshing things out but they are legitimately rewriting and rearranging the story, but Ik chainsaw man has been floated around here and you’ve been getting through one piece, so do your thing!

Best case scenario, it gets the Bleach TYBW treatment, keeps things fairly in line with the manga but adds new interesting stuff and extends fights, new stuff fills in gaps, adds explanations, and extends the ending. Honestly, the one main thing, aside from a more in depth ending and some smaller things hear and there, that I would want, is the just the name of Yuji's Domain, that's the one thing I was truly fully dissatisfied/annoyed with. Either from the anime, some Fan book or volume extra or something, I really just want to know what the name is.

I'm gonna be 100% honest with you i hope it does. I don't necessarily think it will, but i was super disappointed with the real ending. Not mad or anything, but man it was just a huge let down to not really get to see what happened and the immediate aftermath. It felt like a lot of jjk was spent dangling stuff we wanted in front of us and then glossing over the payoff

Kinda doubt it will be as much because Gege was only sick for about 3 weeks which is about a volume worth of cut content. TYBW was gonna be larger than the entire Arrancar Arc, we are at best getting an hour of cut content if we don't count Mappa enhancing the fight scenes.

Although I doubt we'll get a different ending, I really hope the anime gets the Bleach treatment and has scenes added here and there so the ending doesn't feel rushed. - Add more down time between fights so we can have more characters writing - Give us more character interactions - Give us at least 1 episode of Hakari VS Uraume - Have more scenes of Megumi inside Sukuna slowly changing his mind so that him deciding to keep living isn't a complete 180 - Give us more post-battle time before jumping straight to Megumi waking up and everyone being okay - Give us more relevant information instead of lore about Simple Domain - Give us a decent epilogue instead of a random side quest

I feel like the reason Gege avoid extending the storyline of international soldiers kidnapping sorcerers is because it might get too political. Think about it, when other anime focus on the topic of nations or world peace, they are mostly in fictional world setting unlike JJK where everything is directly related to real world. If JJK focus on soldier plot more, it'll inevitably talk about some extreme nations like China and North Korea, and suddenly JJK will be a political manga.

I don't know about a different ending, per se, but I think Kenjaku and the merger, not Sukuna, should have been the final boss of the series. I feel like the struggle against Kenjaku and his machinations lend themselves more easily to the commentary on "tradition vs. societal progression in Japan" that pervaded the entire manga. Yuji's ideological struggle with Sukuna - and Sukuna's internal character motivations in general - both feel too shallow to serve as the centerpiece for the story's overall thesis, especially when to stand them next to the commentary of the prevailing culture of Japan to prioritize tradition over people. Plus with Kenjaku left to continue the merger after Sukuna's taken out leaves room for Gojo's students to truly shine after his death, especially Megumi, who could finally be seen at full potential and the person who could replace Gojo as The Strongest. Plus it feels criminal for Gege do drop the bombshell on us that Kenjaku was Yuji's mother and then do NOTHING with that. Honestly, everything around Kenjaku's origins, their purpose for creating Yuji, their relationship with Sukuna, their relationship with Tengen, it all feels so underdeveloped.

Attack Titan just changed the dialogue, no anime has a different ending from the manga, I think from what I’ve seen is dragon ball super is the only anime where it has different forms arcs and endings compared to manga so no I doubt they will change anything.

JJK anime is gonna end with chapter 235 for me until I hear that they actually expanded something with the last arc, If not 235 is enough for me. Don't wanna hear Gojo glazing Sukuna out of nowhere, don't wanna see Kashimo have 30 sec buildup to his fight just so he can get offscreened in 10, don't wanna listen to Yuta's monster plotline just so he would do less in Gojo's body(and less than Kusakabe) than he did in his own, I could keep going but you get the picture, it's been a huge ass disappointment for me what the last arc was. Yuji's 15 black flash soul punches did less damage to a weakened Sukuna than one blue imbued Gojo punch did to fresh Sukuna. It's so much inconsistency in that last arc that I wish I never read it.
