I have a question about this, how do you not get mascara on your eyelid? Every time I attempt to do my mascara that way it gets EVERYWHERE. So as a result I’m still stuck in the dark ages using the first method she showed. Maybe it’s just practice?
@jenniferwbc2 жыл бұрын
@@jasmine.lavender I’m going to try it again- but I have the same problem. So sometimes, I do mascara first then clean off smudges with a q-tip and work around the lashes. But even then I don’t love the way it looks.
@Juliegrrl12 жыл бұрын
@@jasmine.lavender I have gotten it on my eyelid a time or 2. It takes a bit of adjusting at 1st. I would suggest if you use a big wand like a too Faced or L'Oreal lash paradise maybe try a smaller wand size at 1st. I use Armani eyes to kill or Clinique high impact. I get amazing results with these. They have bristle wands but aren't huge. When using Too Faced BTS or the D@mn one it gets on my lid some times just because the wands are crazy big. Also it could be that you are maybe pressing to hard. Try using less pressure at the base then add more pressure as you go up. Pay attention to your wand, some wands are different sizes from side to side. Use the short side closer to the lid then roll up to the longer side. Or vise versa. One way may work better for you. I use the shorter side to start with. Hope these tips help!

That mascara technique is also super useful for getting a subtler mascara look, it turns out! Actually the best mascara technique is to zig-zag and twist starting with the lashes you want longest and more accentuated and step by step including more lashes as you go. For example, if you want the outer corner lashes to be longer and fuller you start with your last lashes, then include more and more until all your lashes are coated. You can also accent 2 points with this technique, for example the end and the middle lashes. Try it, it works wonders.
