Hey family! Here tuned in! I definitely agree that having a partner does make my life easier. Whenever I am not able to do some thing or need some type of advice I can always count on him to pick up the slack or help guide me into the right direction. I’m definitely gonna have to go back and watch the clip but going off of what you guys are saying I’m lowkey offended by what Steve said. Whether he was talking about financial or not I’m still kind of offended. I do agree that I do not want to give Marcus just 15% but the other part is I am capable of giving him way more. I want a man to look at me and see that if I need her to she can take on the 100% or whatever the case may be at the time. If my man is looking at me as if oh she can only do 15% then honestly that’s not the man for me. I like how you guys talked about how you grew up with the finances as well. Everything starts in the home. I grew up with my dad taking on the bigger bills, But whenever a financial crisis happened my mom was able to take care of it with ease. I feel her on the wanting to keep a certain body image to feel more secure in your relationship. Since Marcus is a personal trainer I do feel the pressure to have to look like I fit with him. I was over 200 pounds when I first met him and then I started getting around his friends and his lifestyle and I wanted to change. Not only for him and the betterment of his business but also for me so I could feel more comfortable in my own skin. I loved that Marcus never put that pressure on me to do that because he was feeding me like crazy when we first met lol but when I was ready to make that lifestyle change he was ready to help. It is definitely a blessing and a curse having your boyfriend as your personal trainer lol. What?! The taxes aren’t good when you are married?! Yeah I’m not getting down on one knee unless it’s to tie my shoe lol! This was a great discussion! It definitely brought up some great conversation with Marcus and I!

1:00:00 I'd be remiss if I didn't disagree with you there, at least from a Biblical perspective. Romans 13:1 tells us to "be subject to the governing authorities." Since American governing authorities have a certain process and criteria for marriage, one must follow that process to be married. Even in the Old Testament where marriage had ~no legal interference, there were still customs one had to follow in order to really be married. In modern day, one of the most notable aspects of marriage is the legal tie it brings so I don't get how someone would want the label but not the responsibilities. It doesn't go like that.

Interesting perspective! We appreciate you listening and commenting your thoughts. You inspired me to make a community post about this to discuss on a larger scale. I'd love to discuss further there.
