Ever heard of man named Adrian Carton de Wiart? A lieutenant from belgium who served the british army got shot too many times and lost some body parts during first and second world war and still survived those wounds. Even if he was badly wounded, he still fought during battle as if he was too stubborn to die. His famous word was ”Frankly, I enjoyed the war!” This man reminds me of Yarrick that have these superhuman powers and it might be possible that Yarrick is inspired to Adrian but GW hasnt confirmed it.

This is why I loved Commissar Yarrick since he was one of the most badass 40k characters ever made, not only is he fear of no one but above all he is able to stand up to his nemesis Ghazghkull since a big war between the Imperium and the Orks, and it's also interesting to see that these two characters respect each other even if they are rivalries during the second and third armageddon wars, it's like it reminds me of a much like in the samurai shogun era when the two warlords Kenshin Uesugi and Shingen Takeda have been rivals since they clashed in them during the Battle of Kawanakajima but they are respected towards each other even during the battle but that's what I find sad on the other hand is that in one of the 40k codex it was confirmed that Commissar Yarrick is dead that many people think that Angron is the one responsible because we can see the skull with the cybernetic eye that it was the head of Commissiar Yarrick in a new model of Angron, and what is also even more interesting that I don't know if it's really true on a rumor, is that not only Ghazghkull is back for all his years of his absence but above all he had learned that his nemesis died in the hands of Angron and that he was going to take revenge for justice in memory of his rival Commissar Yarrick even if it is the first time that we can see an ork like Ghazghkull going to take revenge on someone for justice on Yarrick's death

Heavily implied yes, And you have to understand that a great foe, is for the Orks the closest thing to a wife/girlfriend/soulmate. It's something who make a fight worthy, a scrap for looking for. What give spice and real fun in life when you have reach the peak. Killing that, is the worst, more deadly and unforgettable sin and insult you can do. Killing Yarrick, who was RESPECTED by all the ork, can be let to pass. It must be avenged.

One correction: The evolved Orks seen during the War of the Beast are most probably *not* Krorks, but were quite close. That said, the Necron lord Trazyn's "museum" does hold an Ork-like creature that is **unusually massive** and clad in a suit of powered armor that has an obviously Orkish aesthetic but is surprisingly sophisticated nonetheless, the implication being that this is a _bona fide_ Krork from the ancient War in Heaven where the species had taken its first steps and fought against the undying legions of the Necrons.

One solid theory is that Yarrick is NOT the manifestation of the Ork's physic belief into immortality but perhaps an attempt from the Emperor to use Yarrick as a Living Saint incubator due to the continuing difficulty of summoning Celestine and Sanguinor into the material plane where Orks then to invade and accidentally release Warp terrors? In essence, Yarrick isn't immortal because Ork believe him to be but just as strong AS Gazghull, solidifying their prophecy that the Commisar would fight the Gork and Mork Prophet to the very end! Orks can only "die" in defeat of an enemy but eventually revive with proper Ork Tek and Majik! Only way to kill an Ork properly; sever their STONG link towards their Gods so they don't come back.

According to some comments they corrected that error, seems like it was miscommunication between writers. It's written off by saying Yarrick has been to so many battlefields reports of his death are common.

In the War of the Beast, the orks sent orky diplomats to talk to the high lords of Terra, I think. Honestly, some of the Beast novels were good, but there was too many and too much filler. Reminded me of those DBZ episodes with the big fights against cell or buu.

Absolutely, people seem to not realise the sheer scale of the badassery he showed at Hades Hive. I've got the original source material for Armageddon (The game itself) and while the game is just so-so, the source material in the game is worth the cost of it all alone. Great stuff, old school Warhammer lore is just the best.

I just can't accept that Kroks were more powerful than primarchs. Primarchs are demigods, warp beings. Sangy was so fast that he looked like blurr of golden light. I guess during great crusade, primarchs only tested a small amount of their powers. Maybe they will grow more powerful in time.

I do wish we could've heard Yarricks inner thoughts when he spoke with Thrakka before leaving. He inner monologue considers if he's actually alive or stuck in a nightmare before Thraka spoke to him. The giant Orkoid leaders the Imperium stopped during the War of the Beast and Armageddon are something called Prime Orks, not Krork. My personal theory is Krork are the adult form of the Orkoid race, Prime Orks would be teenagers, and normal boys are children. The reason there are no longer any Krork is because none of the Ork live long enough to grow up. Certainly explains Ork society, it's Lord of the Flies Galactic Edition.

WAAAGH does not affect others species than orks, so no Yarrick isn't the best or unkillable becouse orks belive so. He is just very good and talented, with explosion he was probably just lucky to survive that. Same with ork tech, its not piece of garbage, it is mosty build properly and it can function without orks arround. WAAAGH is just making their tech work better than it should, it is not a garbage put together, that should not work at all. WAAAGH is more like a buff to their tech. So no, yarrick isn't affected by orks belives, and his power klaw works becouse it is just build properly.

I kinda feel sorry for the orks they were made to fight and die in a war they didn't choose. then when there masters left there genetics started to decay till all that is left is a bunch of todlers in adult green bodies (mostly) who can in cases die if they don't fight after enough time. they where bred with no concept of true right and wrong and there scocity is just what is left of the old military strucker that the old ones had them use. It's kinda sad when you think about it.

Their genetics didn't decay and they didn't devolve. The Old Ones made the 'Ork' race in a precious fashion. Krorks could only be produced from standard Orks, after a specific action from an Old One. With no Old Ones around to 'graduate' any Ork individual to a Krork, the entire race is resigned to a type of adolescence.
