As someone that has DID I can see that this has strong approach on to how it simply feels being in a bar. Mr Jones and me are one. The talks about beliefs (believe in me -> cause I want to be someone who believes.), about girl looking at you (sometimes that discussion rlly happens), about one feeling lonely and the other wanting to cheer up trying to bring u out and socialize..(when everybody loves you, you can never be lonely).. fairy tales are simply crossed thoughts, which happens quite oftenly.. amongst lots of other things I can see from experience..

Great video! This video made me dive deeper into the meaning of “Mr. Jones” and find some interesting stuff: On some versions he sings “When everybody loves you / you can be as f******* up as you can be” On the Zach Sang show, he mainly said that this song was mainly about the dreaming and it means something completely different to him now. Also: 5 songs (1 “unreleased”) has the name Maria in it from the same album.

I think the "Everybody wanna pass as cats" part contrasted the "I wanna be a lion" part. The narrator wants to be a courageous lion not a pussy (cat).
