I saw the Crows in a small club soon after August first broke. Adam was in the audience watching the warm up act. Nobody recognized him. I did, so I just said how much I loved the album. He was real shy saying he appreciated the compliment. After the show we saw the band outside. I told them it was my wife's birthday, and they surrounded her and sang Happy Bday to her. Six months or so later the Crows are on the cover of Rolling Stone Mag! A helluva band and a great bunch of guys! ✌🏻

Damn I remember it had to be over 10 years ago seeing the Counting Crows somewhere down the jersey shore... A close friend of the band had just died and instead of cancelling Adam went on and did August and Everything After from start to finish, ALL acoustic!! I remember being so disappointed that night, I was looking for a diff vibe and I would have preferred that he rescheduled. But now years later I know that was such a distinct performance that I was lucky to be a part of. I mean as a day 1 Crow head What could have been better? Maybe if I got to hear Another Horsedreamer’s Blues just once ✌🏼💙
