We Slovenians used to be much higher than that. Top 3 was basically reserved for us every year and I'm shocked we dropped out of top 10. I blame cyclists for that. Everybody started to ride a bike after Pogačar and Roglič exploded into the scene. Not that cyclist don't drink, they just don't drink when pedaling and that's a couple of hours a day wasted.

As a moldovian i can agree. Alcohool is our main source of income,almost every house hold (in rural regions) makes wine every year (made by the grapes they harvest) and also it is really easy to get alchohol even as a minor.
