Fishing Ken.....Fishing Ken....my brother you and Mandrels awesome family put together one great video. I absolutely love the catch, clean "and cook videos and again my hat goes off to the Mrs. who absolutely threw down live before our eyes in that kitchen. I was about to fall outta bed laughing at you on that first bite that made your knees buckle 🤣🤣🤣. That whole plate though was on a whole different level. Keep the Classics coming Ken!!! @@Swampa1971 Thank you sir, and may God continue to bless you and your family.
This video almost made me cry remembering growing up. Down to the biscuits and gravy and smothered rabbit. This video show way more then just hunting. Family, food, hunting, love, AND Jesus!! Reading all the comments showed that a LOT of people shared the same memories growing up. One thing I noticed was most of US say we used to hunt and I hear a lot of passion in everyone’s voice. We must give those same memories to our kids! Love you Ken and to the Mandrel family!!!

God bless you man! And I agree, a lot of folks grew up the same way messing with these rabbits. I also agree that this should be taught to our kids

People see hunting. But there is so much more going on then hunting. Spending time with family, learning responsibility, teaching skills, creating trust, creating memories that will never be forgotten. I remember being 11/12 years old with a gun in my hands and my uncles trusting me and teaching me. See I had a single mom BUT 7+ uncles so I didn’t miss a beat!! Let me stop this makes me want to go back to my home town and just walk through the same family woods I hunted as a boy. God Bless!!!

@@Thriller2200 My brother I totally understand. I have always believed that we should pass on our skills/passion from generation to generation. God gives us knowledge to teach others, not to keep it only for ourselves. I am blessed to have children that love the outdoors. About twenty years ago, I saw a bumper sticker that read “Kids that fish and hunt, don’t deal and steal”. I simply wanted to instill the love for God, Family and Outdoors into my sons. I wanted to teach them valuable, life skills as children that would greatly benefit them as adults. I appreciate your understanding why we do what we do! Hunting and fishing is just the vehicle to establish relationships, trust, memories and a bridge that spans generational gaps! God bless you David Hill!

Was really great to see all of you having a great rabbit hunt. All of you seemed to have a great time. Here in the part of New York State I live in the rabbit population is finally coming back. We’ve lost a lot of farm lands and open privately pwned lands to the dreaded let’s just continue to build and destroy open and farm lands. So for me your video brought back a lot great memories of my late dad and late brother and myself hunting on the farm. I thank you all very much. Continue hunting, fishing and making videos. Cut my huntin' teeth with rabbits in Southeast Kansas. Never ran dogs, but would hunt a hill side east of my little home town(pop. 120 back then, now 80) The south and west sides of that hill was full of blackberries. After a snow those bunnnies would come out and hunker down in those bushes to warm up in the sun. We could walk up to five feet away is we were carefull. Used .22's and .410's. WE'd also hunt up to five miles of railroad tracks. If no snow two of us would "birddog" each side bustin' the bunnies loose. We also chased them a tad illegally. in those days, before heavy farm chemical use, you could drive back country roads at night and see up to twenty rabbits every mile section. Two guys on the front fenders of a pickup truck, two guys in the bed on a moon filled night you could really bust the bunnies up. Of course that was in the 1960's and early 70's. I'm 66 now waiting on the nxt snow to hit that hillside. My Mom cooked up our rabbits the same way!!! and with scratch biscuits and honey!!!!!
