Every instructor Ive worked with has taught the basic concept of the follow turning one turn, not the 1-1/2. Your idea makes so much more sense and makes it flow so much easier. Thanks for helping make sense of it.

Scuba Traveler Love to hear that! We teach one and a half because that’s the way the dance is structured. Some teachers teach a single turn first because it’s easier for beginners... but ultimately will hold them back later. 1 1/2 is the default degree of turn. It’s easy to demonstrate that with a free spin. The follower will naturally turn 1 1/2 without the leader’s physical influence.

This video was a good reminder for me after watching all your other videos. I love the X University. I like how you categorize each part of the dance, especially if you just need extra help with one aspect. I particularly liked the arm section. I want to be a student of the this U!

Agreed. Danced beautiful crazy last night for the first time and I was damn near tripping over the girl because the song was so slow. Compared to a song like wear my ring it’s the opposite. Learning the steps is one thing but picking up on tempo sometimes is hard
