Girl! I love the vintage stove! That's a treasure! Enjoy all of the journey, the good and bad. I live aboard a sailboat, this boat for 6 years this summer. The first year brings all the challenges but I wouldn't give up the freedom, the knowledge I've gained, the experiences and people we've met. I've always advised young couples looking at an alternative lifestyle to commit to 2 years. Then decide if it's what you both want.

I always enjoy the fact that these bus conversions can be made to suit the people who are living in the bus . You need a big kitchen, that's what you do. It's so much better than a generic motorhome made for the public. I like your choices of color, light fixtures and pallet wood. It looks like a comfortable home that fits you both. Thank you for sharing !

Hmmm. I didn’t pick up any negative vibes from this couple toward each other. They could easily be tired or very aware of wanting a high quality video. In a cute way they remind me of my husband and me. We both love to talk and tend to be anxious to get our thoughts in when the other is talking. I show impatience, while my husband just interrupts me. We are totally devoted, but I’m really annoyed when he does that. Don’t try to judge others whom you don’t know.

It's on every skoolie your comment section. I never saw such rudeness and nastiness as I have on these. I don't understand. An that black material that you see under a hood of a car you can get some of it as well an double up under the engine compartment with spray adhesive an a screw or two will help you on heat an noise. If I get lucky enough to do this though I'd extend out that shower curtain into the hallway so I would be able to dress. I'm a all chubby old woman so I need some room to move. I'd bend over to get my feet and my behind would be sticking out against the curtain. Great Questions and great answers. Well done Chris. Just a well put together video, with lots of good answers.

Very beautiful skoolie build, well arranged stuff and a beautiful couple as well. A bathroom is a sacred place and must always be well enclosed, so I think you should have taken the pain to build a few lockers both left and right over a couple of windows(not too late though) for the groceries while the space used for the latter serves as the bathroom my view.

next time you have to replace your shower curtain, buy the ones with magnets in the sides and hems and then just use it upside down.... and be sure to buy a short handled plunger to dedicate for the 'washing in the tub' when needed... short handled is camper code for 'this is not for the toilet'....and it would store in the shower compartment easily.

If you didn't block any windows, I'm thinking you're gonna have a lot of sun faded clothes.... In my bus, I put a small toilet, and a rubber floor, and then a drain in the floor, which can be attached to the tank or not. Then you can stand in front of the toilet to shower, and/or sit on the toilet (to wash feet) etc. Aestetically, I think your bus is beautiful. Good move keeping the surfaces light with that green. Pretty!

Uncool Dean Yeah, people really need to just focus on what the video is about. Be thankful to the videographer with all the expense, time and effort they've put in, and to the time and effort of the people showing their private home or travel rig. Just because someone shows you something DOES NOT MEAN they are "putting themselves out there" to be picked on or talked about!!! Realize people like that have an internal problem with themselves. A well balanced individual does not behave that way. 🤗

Nice video. Im not sure if you know about it already or a product like it. But if you use a product call Hushmat, if may help with the engine noise and reduce the heat output. Hushmat is used in car stereo application, and help reduce vibration, contain sound, and insulate. Its thin, as too not add bulk, and pretty easy to install. Just peel and stick. Hope that helps.

I really love the look of the interior: it looks just gorgeous, neat and clean. The whole place looks much more spacious than it is, and the color came out beautiful. The only thing that would really bother me is the shower, and I would prefer to extend the bathroom and make it a wet bathroom, with the shower head above the toilet. Of course, it's easier to say when you're not the one doing the build...
@goodliving21715 жыл бұрын
Federico I don't want to walk on a cold wet floor, especially in the night, to use the toilet. Also, with only one bathroom, they need to be separate so each has their privacy while using amenities.

Rahuley Shar this is a comment section under a video of a couple who've willingly placed themselves in the public eye, showcasing their talent of bus conversion and design. Stop being a snowflake. This is what a comment section was designed for. People's opinion. In a free society, the opinions will vary in negativity and positivity. You cannot censor at will nor can you muzzle those whom you deem unfit for your sensitivities. Perhaps you can start a thread and become your own dictator and delete those comments you do not like. I used to work for Integrated Coachworks (IC) in the engineering department when it was owned by Navistar, the FEs are pretty notorious for overheating in stop and go traffic driving conditions and for transferring loads of heat into the cabin.
