What’s the blue medicine for
@MariSheWolf3 жыл бұрын
@@kathyr.8135 Its an antiseptic, anti-fungi and it kills/prevents larvae in livestock. It creates a barrier in open wounds and helps it heal without getting infected, while the colour helps the owners to know which animal to keep an eye on in case it worsens. The problem in this case must've been that the wound was too deep. If it was a shepherd, like the vet suspected, they would be carrying it in case any of their animals got injuried.
@Abigail-hu5wf3 жыл бұрын
@@kathyr.8135 It's a spray-on antimicrobial that shepherds use on their flocks to try to limit infections and infestations when the sheep get injured and might be infected. They're always a very unnatural colour, usually blue but sometimes purple or pink, because it allows the farmer to recognise which sheep is the one that needs additional care whenever the shepherd drives them back to the paddock they sleep in. The farmer can go "oh, the one with the massive blue stain, that's the one that will need treatment for flystrike". In this case, it functioned to alert passersby that the dog was injured and needed help. So, it basically did the job it was meant to do.

Ok, so for those who missed it in the video. It looks like the blue "paint" the puppy was sprayed with was likely an antiseptic spray often used for livestock and other animals that you can spray from a distance. Likely he fell off one of the cliffs and either the previous owner or a local shepherd found him first and sprayed the antiseptic on him to avoid infection. Clearly that is not enough help for the animal but it looks more and more like the puppy had a legitimate accident, someone used a very colorful medication on him, and he was picked up and given further help by this nice couple. The vet even says that it was likely antiseptic so it is not likely that a human went out of their way to beat up this puppy and spray paint on him.

I follow a lot of animal rescue channels and it’s pretty easy to tell the difference. I do honestly feel like this was genuine. Most...not all... but most of the fake ones come from Asia and they are horrific cause you just know what really happens to the animal after the video is done

This is such an awesome true story and an amazing turn of events .. I love the way travellers can take dogs on a flight home back to their own country - I know it is not easy but I love how the 2 countries and officials can work together like this for the welfare of the animal in question ... I also think that Turkey's Vets are one of the best in the world!! The service they provide for animals - they seriously do not mess when it comes to treating their animals, 10 days at a vet and the puppy is getting first class treatment with food, warmth, shelter and everything ... hats off to Turkey man seriously.

What amazes me is that these poor animals show right upfront emotional connection despite their situation. Animals usually fear interaction with any unknown element. This little puppy didn't have a chance to know humans enough to trust them. But he trust them right away. That's what breaks my heart because I see how their vulnerability can be exploited by the kids.

The puppy likely belonged to a shepherd, so he'd had human interaction. It's more survival of the fittest with working dogs like that, sad but true
