in a lot of cases, these people don't want to do harm. They just lack skills, money, a proper upbringing themselves. Not giving a damn about something is often the cause of massive frustration. If you make clear you are trying to help, not trying to judge, you get a lot more done. For example, I don't think the owner was aware that chain was way too heavy for that dog. Getting angry about it also has to do with frustration, btw. Stress is everything in life... makes us look for food, a partner, love, etc. Not all of us are lucky, or have the right tools to get there. Glad this woman is trying her best for these dogs and owners.

@@iluvnikoomilana Dogs are family. Not lawn ornaments. There is no reason having a dog and chaining it up. I've had dogs all my life. So has my family, friends and neighbors. All feeling the same way. If it's maybe for a few hours a day perhaps if she goes to work or something, that's not as bad. But not all day and/or all night! I've had neighbors doing that sort of thing. The dog getting absolutely no attention. It's cruel. Dogs are social animals, they feel pain, the get bored, they love to play and be paid attention to. We aren't supposed to tie our kids up like that, so why dogs? Also, being exposed to the elements, if there is no dog house or anything either is inhumane.

When the man said “don’t be scared of her” means that he cares about his dogs. By the looks of his property in itself he might not be getting enough money to give to his poor animals. Another tell he was a man with a good heart is that his dogs didn’t look scared or try to bite at him when he handled them. Animals don’t lie about their feelings! I hope they do well in their life just like these dogs

Honestly i was expecting to see the same situation but where the owner is not so smart and empathetic and so doesn't care for the dogs life and doesn't want to gave them to her and just then he get convinced,that will be epic

@ the narrative connects the facts, so they make sense. In this case, I wondered why do those malnourished dogs seem to feel happy, wagging their tails and being so welcoming to other people. I would have expected them to be afraid or even aggressive because they are obviously not well cared for. The video gives an explanation.
@g0oberdm417
@g0oberdm417 2 жыл бұрын
@ Not to note on this individual case, but depending on scenarios the "facts" may vary, people don't always speak the whole truth. This case is pretty obvious but shares similarities to other videos on KZbin. For example there were a lot of "rescue" videos that were posted over the past few years on various platforms. It turned out that a decent minority of those cases (the specific video style in question) were faked (ie animal abuse). Just warning ya to remain skeptical, nothing more. Have a nice day.
2 жыл бұрын
@@g0oberdm417 I've been dealing with these "type of owners" my whole life since I rescue and adopts dogs myself. I don't go to the shelter to get a "free dog" to feel superior and compare my action with other for the sake of raising my own ego. Naïve, I am not. You don't even have to listen to the dude to see what the FACTS ARE. So regardless of the person's own testimony, It's not a case where his input matters so much when you have regulations and laws that are there to bind people and make sure they do not treat their loved ones badly (including children and their spouse for that matter). If he was in court, he would have been heard, maybe taken into account and more understood, but the facts are there.

There is evil in the world, but sometimes neglect can come from not knowing any better and not having the resources. He’s a good man. It takes strength and real love to let go of his dogs (especially mama dog) and think what is best for the dog. He barely hesitated when she said she wanted to get the mom spayed and vaccinated. Same thing happened to my friend... every day she would drive past this house that had this horribly matted dog chained with a HEAVY chain to a tree, no shelter, water, blanket-nothing. Sh called ASPCA and nothing was done about the situation so my friend decided to make “ friends” with the “owner”. Just one day stopped and asked could she pet her dog, “ just because she loves dogs sooo much”.... day later she stopped again and said “ Do you mind if I give your dog my steak bone from dinner last night?” -owner let her. Two days later... “ Hi wondering if I could give your dog this old animal crate I found someone had out on the trash pile for pickup “ and on it went for several weeks... eventually the woman gave my friend the dog.❤️

He understandably felt responsible and you can tell it was a leap for him to give up _all_ the dogs and that's why it's so huge not to come at it from a judgmental place. Maybe he could or would get some back but it gives him the opportunity to _decide_ and only accept what he can handle and still feel good/that he did the right thing to let them go even if it was hard... The most difficult thing about getting animals out of these situations is how badly it can reflect on the owners and what it "means" to have their animals _taken_ on a welfare basis and it can also be pretty awful to feel like people care more about your animal's welfare than they do about yours so remembering to extend at least as much compassion to them as you would the animals _without_ appearing to condescend/criticize is a real tightrope to walk with human behavior and it's nice to see when it actually works out and nobody seems to feel sour or betrayed.

Dogs in Zoroastrianism Religion : In Zoroastrianism, the dog is regarded as an especially beneficent, clean and righteous creature, which must be fed and taken care of. The dog is praised for the useful work it performs in the household, but it is also seen as having special spiritual virtues. A dog's gaze is considered to be purifying and to drive off daevas (demons). It is also believed to have a special connection with the afterlife: the Chinwad Bridge to Heaven is said to be guarded by dogs in Zoroastrian scripture, and dogs are traditionally fed in commemoration of the dead. Ihtiram-i sag , "respect for the dog", is a common injunction among Iranian Zoroastrian villagers. Detailed prescriptions for the appropriate treatment of dogs are found in the Vendidad (a subdivision of the Zoroastrian holy scripture Avesta ), especially in chapters 13, 14 and 15, where harsh punishments are imposed for harm inflicted upon a dog and the faithful are required to assist dogs, both domestic and stray, in various ways; often, help or harm to a dog is equated with help and harm to a human. The killing of a dog ("a shepherd's dog, or a house-dog, or a Vohunazga [i.e. stray] dog, or a trained dog") is considered to lead to damnation in the afterlife. A homeowner is required to take care of a pregnant dog that lies near his home at least until the puppies are born (and in some cases until the puppies are old enough to take care of themselves, namely six months). If the homeowner does not help the dog and the puppies come to harm as a result, "he shall pay for it the penalty for wilful murder", because " Atar (Fire) watches as well (over a pregnant dog) as he does over a woman". It is also a major sin if a man harms a dog by giving it bones that are too hard and become stuck in its throat, or food that is too hot, so that it burns its throat. Giving bad food to a dog is as bad as serving bad food to a human. The believers are required to take care of a dog with a damaged sense of smell, to try to heal it "in the same manner as they would do for one of the faithful" and, if they fail, to tie it lest it should fall into a hole or a body of water and be harmed. @zoroastrianism.wisdom @Zardasht_afrin1998

Prophet Zoroaster says : "Happiness comes to them who brings happiness to others" "Doing good to others is not a duty it's a joy, for it increases your own health and happiness" "I shall be master of my own destiny". "Righteousness for the sake of righteousness alone" "One good deed is worth a thousand prayers" "As long as I have power and am able, I shall teach all to seek for truth and right" “Turn yourself not away from three best things: Good Thought, Good Word, and Good Deed" "Taking the first footstep with a good thought, the second with a good word, the third with a good deed I entered paradise".

Dogs know when they’ve been rescued from a horrible situation. They make the best dogs because they show u so much love. FYI, my dog is a rescue. Found him abandoned on the street where he could’ve been run over by a car. We took him to Humane Society to scan for a microchip and he has none. They told us they can take him and put him up on their website but if no one claims him in 60 days, he will be euthanized. We ended up taking him. Best decision we ever made. My dog gave me so much comfort during this pandemic. He gets separation anxiety if my boyfriend or I leaves to run errands or whatever. I think he went through a really traumatic experience with whoever had him. He doesn’t like being alone. So even though he has 3 beds, one in almost every room, he likes to sleep with us in our bed and we let him most of the time. He’s such a blessing specially because I suffer from anxiety and depression. He gives me comfort. He’s my child since I don’t have kids. He’s my family.

There definitely was physical abuse, when you can see the hip bones and entire rib cage that's neglect. Keeping her tied outside her whole life while she's bred and he sells the puppies hardly makes him innocent. Be sure to ask to see the parents when you buy puppies. I see people all over with purebreds they buy off the internet and not one person agrees they know what the parents looked like or if the new owners asked to see how they live until they are purchased. This video is exactly why the message "Adopt don't shop" came about. Any backyard breeder can pretend they know about dogs and sell them for years before anyone catches onto them. Visit your local shelters and humane societies, whether they are kill shelters or not. Those are the dogs you can buy, not backyard breeder dogs off the internet who post one cute picture and pretend everything's perfect because they know you won't dig deeper. Nice comments here, awesome. Nice is wonderful. The fight against backyard breeders has not ended as evidenced by the emaciated, starved mother with the giant chain living on dirt her entire pathetic life. This all started with the Price is Right host who always ended his show with Spay and Neuter your pets! That message needs a reboot and to spread like wildfire again please.

Btw, I came across a homeless man w a dog years ago, and I told him I have a shelter where the dog can be taken care of. He was hesitant at first, but then he agreed and he was hugging the dog tightly and crying. That moment as if someone tapped my shoulder, I didn't want to take the dog away from him and break his heart. @@kearl3490 this is one of the reasons why I do not want to go to vet school. I got my certificate in vet assistant and we handle the humans more than we handle the dogs. It was overwhelming. Some pet owners were just selfish like not spaying their dogs (dog kept getting pregnant), made a dog suffer for way too long (euthanasia was not an option for them), lots of backyard breeders, and some people who refused to pay for medical care (but could afford the expensive puppy). Anyways, it was overwhelming but your comment made me realize a lot.

That was a great, important point when she said "sometimes we nee to ask for help when we get underwater when we have too many dogs". A situation with pets can get out of hand so quickly, even if we have the best of intentions. And people like you are the reason the dogs were in such a state to begin with. Even when they are being abused you still don't want to admit that people aren't perfect and that some people, however downtrodden and unlucky, are simply bad people. How many people could've said something but didn't cos like you they don't want to call someone out or say anything negative. As far as I'm concerned everyone in this comment section letting him off the hook, is almost as bad as the guy himself. for enabling that sort of attitude. Props to my man for treating his dogs as well as he could and for realizing that this woman was here to help It’s time to address some of the comments. He never abused them, tried his best to feed them, and only had the dog chained up because he didn’t want her to run away and get hurt. He did the best he could, so don’t get angry because he can’t afford luxury items that we can afford for our dogs like proper dog food and a bed and toys and other things. When he realized that the woman could do a better job at taking care of his dogs, he gave them to her, which shows he truly cares about the dogs and wants what’s best for them. You can’t base your opinions off of just an image alone. Pay attention to the man’s actions and you’ll see. I’m not saying chaining up the dog was the best way to go about it, but it was the only thing he knew to do. There’s also evidence of frequent walks, so he obviously let the dog off of the chain to walk it.

The WORST thing you can do to a starving, neglected, unhealthy dog like this is give them a vaccination. It even warns on the vaccine label that it's not to be given to dogs with any health problems -- it will exacerbate them and could kill them. Any vet that gives a vaccine to a dog like this should be cited for malpractice. The rabies vaccine alone causes cancer at the injection site called vaccine-associated sarcoma. Vaccines are a billion dollar racket and scam. And people wonder why dogs are living just half the lifespan now than they used to.

I’m so happy she took all the dogs too and even gave the man $40.00 . That was so nice to help him out a little. I’m so glad all the dogs found home, including the mommy. These beautiful stories of kind people rescuing abused animals really lifts my spirit in the midst of all the sadness and cruelty in the world ! Thank u for sharing these stories with us!

The only thing I would have "given" him was a choice between giving me the dogs or being charged by the local authorities for animal cruelty.

@@Chloe-10- I understand your point of view, but what would be the LOGICAL thing to do in that case? I believe finding a better home would be the first priority for the animal and not allowing it to starve at the end of a chain. Put yourself in that position. Would you allow your pet to starve or try to find it a better home? If you wanted to KEEP the dog then at least find a way to feed it. Sell something to buy food, or any odd job would bring in enough money to feed it. He was neglecting this dog plain and simple. Walking by it every day like it wasn't even there. When confronted he puts on a sob story and gives up the dog to keep the police out of the picture to save his own skin. Sorry, I'm not buying it. If he TRULY LOVED this animal, he would have found a way.

He didn’t want to let the dog go, because she was probably his favorite and with him the longest. Like, after she was listing off the things that the dog needed, I could tell in his voice that he was hesitant but not as if he was worried of getting in trouble- hesitant because he didn’t want to let her go. He truly just seemed unaware of what he was supposed to do to take care of the dogs. I hope he can have another dog some day, when he’s gotten better educated on dogs and how to take care of them, because I’m sure he has a lot of love in his heart. EDIT Someone named Ian Kamau down in the replies of this said, “this story is tied to privilege, poverty, class, and race, I noticed a huge difference in their human living conditions” and this is something I was trying to get across in my comment. Someone else also said, “he may have a lot of love, but he’s a bad pet owner, because he’s left them in neglect. Rich and educated people can be bad pet owners too for the same reason.” And I wanted to include this because it is true. The man in the video is a bad owner, in the sense that he could’ve given them to someone who could take care of them. He did leave the dogs in neglect. But I do think that if he were capable, he would’ve given the dogs better attention and care himself, because he has a heart for them. He was probably just too sad and scared to give them away. I knew my comment would be a bit controversial, because it sounds like I’m siding with the guy and saying he’s this perfect pet owner or something. No, I’m not saying that at all. I’m saying that he has love and affection for his dogs, and because of that he let them go so they could be taken care of. And at the same time, it’s because he was so attached them and especially the oldest dog that he didn’t get them to care sooner. He knew they would probably never be returned to him if he did that. It’s not a good thing that he neglected them like this, but I really do believe that if he knew how to properly take care of a dog, and had better income, he would’ve been much better to them. That’s what I was trying to say, to the people who think I’m excusing what happened. I’m one of the few who watched this video and saw more than just a dog rescue saving dogs from a neglectful situation, I also see a man affected by poverty and lack of privilege who just couldn’t take care of his dogs and had to let them go. And this is coming from someone who usually likes animals much more than dogs, and does not sympathize with any animal abuser in the slightest. But this case really is just a poorly human and poorly dogs, they both need care and attention, they both deserve better.

Don’t think he was unaware I think he didn’t have the resources to have that many dogs . Your right he definitely did cat about the dog and I believe that y he let them take her. He could have been selfish and keep her but he knew she’d be better off with them. If something were to happen and I lost my job I’d have a really hard time giving my dog up probably would if it got so bad I couldn’t take care of him anymore but it will kill me to have to do something like that.

I don’t think that he should have another dog because he just left that dog chained up she was super skinny and just was having more and more baby’s and I feel if he just did not want to care for them and he should not have had that many dogs, and I think u can do a fast google search and u can find out how to care for a dog.

I find it hard to understand how you could ever treat animals you love that way. You could make excuses about not having money for food maybe but not for that horrific chain.

@@ena9162 first, we have no idea if he uses the chain often or rarely, just so happened she was on it when they came. Second, i highly doubt it's that he didnt want to care for them, its more like he couldnt care for them, most likely money problems. And for the puppies, looks as if only 2 of them were hers, the others might have been strays.
