Hi Saeed. Cool to see you back on a Courtney reaction. Great reaction, as always. Courtney is amazing. I don't know what it is, but when Courtney performs live, she just elevates her already spectacular talent exponentially. She has this unbelievable ability to infuse so much energy and emotion into the music and it's just like it washes over her audience in waves. An incredible adrenaline rush. No greater live performer in music. Pair it with her unmatched vocals, and you create a mind boggling musical experience. Her concerts are going to be insane. Once she starts touring, and word spreads about how fabulous she is on stage, her concerts are going to be the 'in' place everyone wants to be. People will be fighting for tickets. Her shows are going to become legendary. Little bit of updated information, since it's been awhile since you've been back to Courtney . Courtney has said that the first singles from her new album will begin dropping very early next year, with the album to follow. They decided not to start dropping the singles this year during the holidays when everyone would be focused on other things, which makes perfect sense. She also said that she has created a lot of content that she will be sharing with us on KZbin over the interim, until the first album single drops. This is the second of three live versions of her original songs that she has shared, as part of that content. She also dropped a live version of 'Call Me Back' and 'Christmas Rocks' in the last couple of weeks, which are equally sensational. There is so much rawness and emotion in 'Call Me Back', that it rips your heart out every time you hear it and 'Christmas Rocks' just demands that you move with it. Both would make great reactions, and are available on Courtney's KZbin channel. Also, as to be expected, there are live shows and some touring being planned for after the drop of her album. As part of the prep for that, Courtney is putting together her band. So, here (and on the other two live versions), we are seeing Courtney introduce her band for the first time. They are who Courtney will be touring with post album drop. Lots more to come. Can't wait to see you do more Courtney.

Great reaction! This is her latest original song but not her first video for it. I think it's the one most folks love the most though. It's the first video with her full band. She did a new version of Call Me Back with just one guitarist and the pianist, and after this she made the first video for Christmas Rocks, an original song from last holiday season and the only original song she's released without any kind of video, also with the band. Hi Saeed. Thank you for another Courtney. It's worth mentioning that this is her own band, and she will be touring with them next year after her album comes out -- and this live recording is the first time the full band has performed together in public. She picked a great bunch of musicians.

Several of her songs are autobiographical ("That Girl Don't Live Here" is really about the way people in the music industry wanted her to be the 13-year-old she no longer was), but none as openly as this one, in which she describes herself as "a little bit of Tina, a little bit Aretha." The line "I don't need need no schoolboy to tell me how to live" is literally about schoolboys -- her peers at school who made fun of her style after her audition on "The Voice Kids UK" when she was 12, ridiculing her for dancing around while singing. In this song, she responds to them, all these years later, "I always do things my way, and that's just how it is." Anyway, great song, and thanks for your reaction, Saeed.

I first saw her on The Voice Kids UK,... but I first REMEMBER her from AGT. And I love this song.
