Judge Scott Green sentenced Robin Howington to 22 years in prison for the shooting death of her daughter Destiny, saying he did not believe Howington’s claim that her 2-year-old son fired the weapon. “I will never believe that. I don’t think you were honest with the jury about that,” Judge Green told a tearful Howington Friday as he issued his sentence. “You are not the victim in this case.”

That is what I thought. Guess the judge has never owned a firearm. I own one and never fired it but I know better than that. It takes some strength to pull a trigger. Mine does not have a safety but I keep it in a gun safe or on top of my China cabinet when my grandsons are around. When we visit them we place it on their refrigerator. Just dumb. I have even some to my oldest grandson, just turned six. If you want to know about our firearms just ask. I told him to ask before and we will show him the firearm but he is not to handle them without us. Not that he could even pull the trigger on mine but I am not taking chances. I don’t understand how they think a two years old pulled a trigger. Boggles the mind! 🤦♀️

@@susiefoxy8130 A firearm shots no one. Why is it this administration wants to give guns to illegal aliens and take the from law abiding citizens. A new mother who also happened to be a new widow was on her home when two men tried to break in. She was on the phone with 911. If she would not have shot the intruders her baby and her would have probably been killed or worse. Her husband died overseas.

I remember how her story changed so many times and she still only got 22 years, there is something wrong there, life life without parole. do it over judge have more control, take a look at the lies, none of them made sense you should have been be able to figure that it was her all along, judge you need to be more careful, I think you made a bad mistake with 22 years.

Prosecutor was not prepared. Good thing the judge was, this evil woman could have gotten off easily.

How did she only get 22 years for this? That’s a travesty in itself.

This effing defense lawyer still blaming everybody else for her actions. I seriously dislike this guy.

She deserves every second of those 22 years and then some. I’m glad he didn’t waste time by making consecutive when it would have been appealed down anyways. This judge knows his stuff and worked perfectly within the system in front of him.

I really! Think that she really! Needs to spind the rest of her life in prison without the possibility of parole ever! Again

Why do they fight to reunite the kids with the parents especially when they have records of abuse?bMakes no sense then they find out that the foster mum fought for the child to stay with them. Everyone says why do they fight to get them back? Simple MONEY! Food stamps and money. Sick sick sick. Food stamps.

The jury should feel wonderful after the victim impact statement impact statement. But it does make me concerned why all this was kept from the Jury.

It's OK to see the facts in this case and make decisions accordingly. God is our ultimate judge , however he places persons to judge matters in our court systems The bibles tells us to obey the laws of the land. Its illegal to murder.

Why do so many people think it fine to call her so many disgusting names. So judgemental of her when she's already been sentenced by a professional caring fair judge. It's not a very nice trait.

SHE WAS A LIAR AND SHE WAS NOT A MOTHER AND SHE KILLED HER OWN DAUGHTER. THAT IS WHY. BLAMED SO MANY PEOPLE THEN CHANGED HER STORY WE DON'T LIKE THE FACT THAT SHE GOT 22 YEARS INSTEAD OF LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE WHICH IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN JUDGE MADE AN ERROR.

When her daughter’s father left, she was enraged. She murdered their daughter because she didn’t want the two to have a relationship.

When I think of all the loving families looking to adopt it breaks my heart. Both these kids could've been in loving, safe, amazing homes. I know because after I gave birth to two of my own biological children, I was lucky to have adopted a baby from my cousin who knew she couldn't raise him right. That led us to adopting another baby only a few months later. They have been SUCH A HUGE, HUGGE BLESSING to us. Hearing from the mother & the father I just feel like these kids would've been better off adopted. She's selfish and careless, but so was the father. All he's talking about is him. Both continue to blame other people. May this baby girl rest in peace now & forever 🙏🏼

You are absolutely right and a great human being and loving mother, you are terrific, love people that have love for adopptions, we seem to be losing children to bad parents when they could be adopted. I wish I was young again I would adopt all of them. Good for you.
