I watched the trial and it was pretty obvious that the child blames Stefanko for the murder of her mother. She couldn’t even say that her father viciously murdered her mother. Only that he did a bad thing. I can’t blame the child, but listening to Chad Cobb’s mother, it’s obvious where she gets it from. The mother actually thinks Stefanko was the mastermind, diminishing the fact that her son was the one to brutally murder Ashley Biggs. She’s in such denial. Stefanko was most definitely complicit but her son is the abuser and the murderer. It’s interesting that now that Stefanko has been found guilty she has no problem showing her face. Although she knowingly hid evidence from the police. How she has the nerve to show her face after what she did and her son did, is baffling to me.

Totally!! I too watched the trial. The Mother of Chad appears to HATE Erika! Getting Erika put away does not equal Chad getting out!!! Considering Chad was violent and domineering with Ashley, that she took out more than one restraining order, there is room for doubt in the case or Erika, that she was manipulated into making that call, under duress. I am not saying that she was, but there is room for doubt. Chad is shown to be a bully, violent and a murderer!! If he wanted Ashley dead, he could have forced Erika to make the call! I am surprised her lawyer did not push the violence and aggression of Chad Cobb.

We had a case here in our town about five year’s ago where a policeman murdered his estranged wife and his parent’s stood behind him 100%, got custody of the two children and the murdered woman’s distraught parent’s have NOT been allowed to see their grandchildren! Before the man went to prison and was home with an ankle bracelet his parents even took him out to dinner for his birthday and were caught. The wife was a young, lovely nurse here who was afraid of him. I recently heard he appealed and was getting out! Can you even imagine the life of this girls parents! And the poor children being raised by these sociopath’s.

Even if that is true, it does not negate guilt. She is complicit because she, as she herself admitted, made the phone call and intentionally lured Ashley to her impending death and drove Chad to the murder site to commit the murder. She helped dispose of the body and clean up the crime scene. Indeed, she had intimate knowledge of the crime that would only be known by a participant and was found hiding with Chad after the murder.

As a survivor of domestic violence, I encourage anyone who is a victim, yes gentlemen, you as well to remove yourself and your children OUT of the relationship first then get counseling. There are safe houses all around America, I don't know about other countries unfortunately, that will provide you with a support system to get your life back on track. The abuse will not stop if just you leave, it will be refocused on anything that reminds them of you (including your children). Please call police and the domestic abuse hotline. If you need a friend, please look me up on Twitter, same name. I will hold your hand through anything, I was all alone, had no one to help me and didn't have all these programs either and I broke free.... If you seriously are sick and tired of being sick and tired, you're done with being hit and then being told I'm sorry, if you are at the point where egg shells are too rough to walk on and you want to sleep in serenity or with someone who loves you, instead of sleeping with the enemy... then please get help. Nothing ever good comes from domestic violence, he or she will not "grow out of it" and you can't change them. They won't stop until you're dead. If you need someone to hold your hand, give a shoulder, talk to you how to leave safely please contact the police, domestic violence hotline and anyone who knows how it is to go through that and get away. You are not alone. We all love you. You deserve to be loved as you love others and you damn well deserve a better life. We care. We all care, and no matter what your abuser says, it will change your life and you will be happier for it. Trust me. I'm away from my abuser and it makes me giggle every time he tries to get back with me.... I'm married now to a wonderful man who's a Marine combat veteran and you deserve the kind of love I have! You don't deserve to be hit, hurt nor tortured. Break free.... Leave them for good 🥰 Stay strong and if you need a friend when you're lonely or unsure, send me a message. I check Twitter everyday and I do care. God bless all of you and all of the friends of those who are victims.... they need you more than you know, help them get help 😍🥰

She picked her up from school & she didn't even know who she was. The police had to force her to go with her mother bc she didn't even recognize her or know her. Then this happens & her father is arrested & sent to jail for life. She is abused by her step mother who has custody of her. She's not able to see her grandmother bc her step mother would keep her from her. Also limited her contact with her father. Everyone she ever loved was takin away from her. And you can't understand that she would still love her father? She never got to bond with her mother...so I could see how she would still love her father. I can certainly see why Chad turned out to be a murderer and a horrible person. His mother has obviously been enabling him, making excuses for him and covering for him all his life. If Chad and Ashley's daughter is living with Chad's mom, it doesn't bode well for how she will turn out. Grandma has already manipulated her into blaming everything on Erika. Where in the world are Ashley's parents and family? That's who the daughter needs to be living with. Being raised by Chad's mother is like living with Ma Barker and hoping everything turns out ok.

I apologize in advance if I offend anyone but I'm going to say this anyway. Domestic violence in the USA is an epidemic that leaves me thinking as a society we're not raising our sons with character. The sentiment of "boys will be boys" which is a metaphor for indifference and apathy towards the cognitive and psychological development of males as they grow into adulthood is demonstrating itself in the stats on intimate partner violence. A woman is literally risking her life by dating a male. No exaggeration.

Perpetrators of intimate partner violence are depicted in the media as monsters and it's not acknowledging these are our sons, nephews, grandsons, uncles, coworker, who we called, texted, had dinner with on a regular basis before the tragedy of another murdered woman from intimate partner violence. I personally believe the grandmother is the mastermind. I believe the grandmother coached the grandchild into testifying in hopes her father would be released. I genuinely don't feel the child should be in the custody of his mother. I feel the child should be in the custody of the victims parents. I think by default in these cases the victims parents should always have the first option to take custody of any minor children. If not the grandparents another close living relative of the victims family such a sibling. For multiple reasons. One if the minor children are with the perpetrators family they can never properly grieve for their lost parent, and two the parents of the perpetrator raised a perpetrator. It only stands to reason they are wholly unfit to raise children.
