Shame on DCYF that allowed Adam to get his filthy hands on Harmony...Crystal was doing her best and was complying with the system.. Harmony had a stable home via foster care as Crystal was also dealing with the adoption of Jamison by a loving family that also wanted Harmony and that request was denied.. As Jamison adoption was being finalized in one courtroom via Judge Carol Erskine..there was a hearing for Harmony in another courtroom with Judge Mark Newman on the same day and at about the same time..Each court was aware of this conflict and each proceeded accordingly.. Handing Harmony over to a convicted felon without the proper investigation nor follow-up despite reports and no medical or school records.. Social Security could have stopped the check based on documented requirements for Harmony's care.. There a re sooooooo many red flags that could have saved Harmony..however the system was toooooooo busy punishing Crystal... Do we love Harmony or Not? @sad.jackfr00t9 ай бұрын
She’s in prison… she is doing her time for the part she played, which was lying to State officials/grand jury. She wasn’t the one who abused/murdered Harmony. She was an accessory to it, yes-but not an accomplice. She didn’t play an equal role to Adam, in the eyes of the law. It may not seem fair, but the law isn’t always fair. It takes concerned citizens to have legislators change the law so people like Kayla can be held more accountable for her inaction. Plus, like the person above me said, she took a plea deal to avoid more time.
@griceltorres77019 ай бұрын

The system failed Harmony in so many ways yet they are concerned about this subhuman’s drug addiction needs ?
@sad.jackfr00t9 ай бұрын
@@natzvoe I’m not defending her-in every single comment regarding Kayla that I’ve made, I’ve said that what she did (or didn’t do) was morally reprehensible. I’m simply pointing out the FACT that her inaction isn’t a crime-it easily could become one through legislation, but as of right now, her inaction isn’t a crime and that’s why she’s only been charged with perjury. She also took a plea deal. She’s in prison for perjury regarding what happened to Harmony/what Adam did to her, so yes, she’s being punished for her role in Harmony’s case-Kayla took a plea deal so she wouldn’t get more time. There is a legal difference between being an accomplice and being an accessory, and that difference is important in a court case. Again, I’m not saying she’s innocent-her inaction is morally reprehensible, and any decent human being (let alone a mother) would put themselves in harms way before allowing someone to harm a child. She’s not a decent human being-I never said she was. I’m simply commenting on the law, not the morals/ethics behind it. I’m trying to explain why she didn’t get more time.

When her mom said “she didn’t ask to be born.” I LOST it. I’ve cried over this case so many times. I did social work for over 15 years and I had to leave the field because it was just so hard. I struggled with infertility and endured 6 early term miscarriages and 1 still birth and seeing children constantly abused and neglected and pushing and pushing to get children taken out of those situations and going as far as I could and then having my “superiors” NEVER listen! Sitting in hearings and seeing these abusers deny what they had done. My husband and I are going to adopt. But that is also hard! Because in some cases, biological parents who have NO BUSINESS getting their children back make it very difficult. Obviously coming from the social work field I realize that keeping children with their biological family’s is always the first choice as long as everything is settled and they’re safe, but too many times, these children are in danger! Fostering to adopt is a hard route but that’s what we’re going to do. I pray for strength every single day. And I pray that little girl finds peace and her Mama finds peace as well. I can’t imagine what she has gone through and will go through the rest of her life.

Both parents, step parent, the judge who gave him custody, and dcs ALL failed this child!!! The fact that their all pretending to care now kinda makes me sick. The fact this mom is so worried about how her hair looks and got those nails on makes me think she's just enjoying all the TV time she's getting. Wonder how much money she's spending on those things from money people have probably sent for searches, go fund me's, etc... If my child had went through what that poor baby did, I don't think I'd have the energy to worry about getting my nails on and worried about how smooth my hair was for TV. I'd be completely broken down and wouldn't give 2 craps about that stuff! But she's saying what makes her look the best she can. That baby wouldn't have been with the dad that did that to her to begin with if she had put her child first instead of "other things" that got that baby taken from her in the beginning. She should be feeling guilty and be asking for forgiveness, because it was her actions in the beginning that are what set off the chain reaction of events that followed! I think it's great she's trying to get her life together now I guess, but quit worrying about how good you look for your 15 minutes of fame, and at least portray a grieving Mother if you're truly sorry for the death of that baby! I'd probably have a bit more respect for her if she owned up to her part more that lead to all this and wasn't constantly stroking her hair to smooth it out and throwing her hands up to show off her nails the whole time. If she cried her heart out, was saying that that child wouldn't have been with him if she, also, hadn't screwed up, and told everyone why her daughter was there to begin with in the court system, I'd DEFINITELY be a bit more understanding of her. The truth can set you free! I speak from experience. I'm no Saint! But at least I'm willing to admit that EVERYTHING my children experienced in life growing up was MY FAULT because I screwed up. So what if my ex was a piece of crap husband and father. I, ME, was the one that messed up in my own situation!! Own up to YOUR crap in yours!! Quit bad mouthing everyone else's lawn and clean up your own backyard first. The ONLY person I can truly respect in ANY of this, at this point, is Harmony's dad's uncle! Sweet little Harmony, I'm so sorry you were failed by every single person you had around you, but your great uncle who at least tried to help you, in your short little life. But now, at least i can forgive all the people who failed you so miserably since i got those feelings out of me. I have to forgive in order to be forgiven in my end. I hope your mom can finally face her part in it. I hope your father will one day let go of his hate and tell everyone where you are, or that your body is found, so you can have a proper funeral. And i hope your step mother will own up to her part, as well as the Judge, and members of DCS. THEY ALL HAVE A PART IN YOUR CASE. May you sing with the Angels in happiness for the rest of eternity. Thank you for choosing to experience what you did in this life to take back to God, as that's what we all come back for time and again to do. Sometimes the paths we choose can be hard! You were one of the best of us. I hope I can be half the person when I go as you were leaving here at 5! Bless you sweet girl!!

I completely understand the anger and disappointment towards Crystal but only God can judge her. I can't judge her but I do know that addiction is a disease. It's not just a matter of "desiring drugs." It's so much more than that. I desire ice cream right now but I'm not gonna go to the store and get it. For me, ice cream is only a desire and nothing more. But drugs and alcohol really mess with the brain. They not only cause psychological addictions that go very deep, but also physical dependency. I could go on, but I'll stop here. I just truly wish more people were aware of what addiction really is. And if there is someone reading this that did manage to get off drugs and do what's right for your children then that's great and you definitely did the work and earned that. But I would just also like to add here that everyone is different, with different brain chemistry, different past, different everything. For whatever reason that only God can judge, Crystal was not able to get off the drugs in time. Maybe she could've done more, maybe she couldn't have. All I know is that I'm not perfect either. I'm not an addict and haven't lost my kids but I've done other stuff. Everyone has. She's obviously remorseful and she has to live with that the rest of her life.

@@Leeofthedesert i agree with you about addiction and the complete power it has over a dependent user. Those without any personal or familial experience of it are firstly, very fortunate in this drug soaked world, but also probably very naive regarding its complexity. Unless you have worked within this particular community, and it is a community, and have seen firsthand how it destroys every aspect of a life. I personally believe Crystal has been a success story upon the outcome of her addiction. She’s one of a very few who actually stay clean, and i hope to heaven she maintains it. It never goes away, it just lurks in the subconscious until a weak moment presents itself and then it’s scratching at the blood trying to win. Addicts know this and learn to develop techniques to bang the door in its face, but it’s a life long war. If young people could see the devastating consequences of drugs, even recreationally at the immature ages they begin experimenting, they’d run for the hills. But unfortunately this rarely happens, and so we see beautiful children being born into chaos, packaged around from place to place. In all kinds of danger. ✌🏻👍🏼

This case is the perfect argument for making it mandatory for a psychologist specializing in NPD to be present during all child custody cases. Narcissists do not want their children to love them, they want control of them and control of the other parent through control of the child. It happens so often these monsters are able to manipulate lawyers and judges, set the other parent up for criminal charges to then use those charges against them in custody cases. If someone was present who can detect when a narcissist is playing the judicial system to get control of a child it would save so many children and innocent loving parents from years of narcissistic abuse and alienation. In this case, it would have saved Harmonys life!
