@@horizonsglobalmedia Yes, tons of people said that jury was biased and didn't agree with verdict, including many white people at the time, like Marcia Clark, who was the prosecutor in that case too and tried those police officers. Obviously, the people rioting didn't agree with it and questioned it. The jury pool in the King trial was from Simi Valley, which not only is mostly white, but _also is where many of the LAPD and their families lived,_ so were very pro police, and _obviously_ biased against King and for the police. That doesn't make what the OJ jurors did okay or "justice" and is completely beside the point as it pertains to OJ's guilt. Marcia even explained to the jurors (who were mostly black), that she tried that case and felt the verdict was a miscarriage of justice, but that this isn't the time for payback, etc., and she said they all nodded in agreement and so on. Then, she was told by a juror that afterword, they overheard one of the jurors saying, "Oh yes it is time for payback." So, that's all it was, and what's worse, it appears at least some members of the jury lied to appear objective - it wasn't a trial based on evidence or anything of the sort. They were always going to let OJ go and because a prior jury didn't do the right thing, they weren't going to either.

Not a mistake. It was jury nullification. They also didn't trust anything the LAPD did or said, they were still mad about the cops for the Rodney King beating being acquitted, and they also didn't understand the DNA evidence. They didn't know what it was! Remember the education most middle class children get in high school these people never got. Or they felt "so what?" Relying on DNA/scientific evidence means nothing to a jury that responds to simplicity like "if it doesn't fit, you must acquit" and Dr Henry Lee saying in heavily accented English, "something wrong here".... These are Florence and Normandy neighborhood people, not Brentwood. Ironically the people OJ apparently disliked since he tried to move as far away from them as he could. He owed Rodney King credit for his acquittal, much more than his attorneys. When it comes to racial animosity, these two cases did more to re-ignite it than anything since Reconstruction. Pride and envy are two sins that many people use to get what they want.

If in the future there is new evedince that could get the case re-opend and that would not mean a dubble jeopardy. It’s still odd and until this day nobody has had an explanation or new evedince that was legit enough for a new trail.

Nah, look at the eighties. I would say it started way before, maybe the 50ies and 60ies, as the atom bombs and atomic energie where introduced and people started to destroy environment for convenience. Plastics, drugs, tv and technology came up and society silently went down the rabbit hole. It maybe became just more visible in the 90ies.

The facts state of Nicole’s timeline of this night was a dinner at 6:30 with children , 8:00 left restaurant , after went for ice cream with kids , went home approx 8:40 , 8:50 a call to restaurant of sunglasses left . 9:45 Ron Goldman leaves the restaurant bringing Nicole the glasses in a white envelope , The best estimate was the event was committed about 10:10 to 10:20. from neighbor hearing the dog and other forensics. Simpson went to dinner at McDonald’s with Kato and a friend of Katos at 9:00 , arrive back home at 9:45 . The distance from the Simpsons estate to the crimescene of Nicole’s condo was 2 miles , a 5 minute travel with the time of night and lite traffic . Opportunity is one detail but what creates all the controversy is how much blood evidence was surely going to seal the charge . Flash forward , prosecuting Attorney Darden is interviewed about case in 2018 , states facts about 9 African American jurors of the 12 were picked before his arrival , he hasn’t seen this in his 35 years of practice , also provides they went for proceedings in court before all the blood evidence was back from DNA results , he also was unaware of this detail upon entering into the ring . Ms Clark wanted Brian Kalan to lie. He didn't know these people in less then a year and a half, Ms Clark was treating Kato as if he knew OJ and Nicole ten years. The same way she lost Kato is the same way she lost Allan Park, Mark Fuhrman, Vanatter, Philip's and Lang. What was she looking for in Brian Kalan?? Personally I think Kato was tired of being around Nicole and her friends and OJ was just another avenue for his freeloading abilities to live free until he gets established in Hollywood. Kato never expected to be the leading character in a double murder trial with two people he lived with. Allan Park was the only witness that had no motive for anything other then getting OJ Simpson to the airport. The District Attorney's Office never wanted to believe his account of what took place. He waited 25 minutes rang that bell several times from 10:35 to he got an answer from OJ at 10:53 after the dark figure walking into OJs house. That was the question that was never answered. Know way could OJ Simpson could have been sleeping and take a shower and be ready in 6 minutes luggage outside ready to go. Who was that shadowy figure entering OJs house that's why he called Kato at 10:40 to turn on the alarm system, because whoever that person was: was still inside OJs house when he left for the airport, that's why he asked Kato earlier to turn on the alarm system, but Kato told OJ he didn't know the code! Later OJ would call at 10:40 saying he forgot to turn on the alarm system; he then gives Kato the code his backup alibi was established. Oj is on the plane. Did the police really think OJ would have taken bloody clothes and a knife on the airplane. That's exactly why they lost this case stupid $#!+... like that. They made OJ Simpson out to be a huge star as if he was an Oscar winning actor when he just a Hurzt rent a car spokesman and a B movie actor and a terrible sports caster, but he was legendary in the NFL the first running back to gain two thousand yards in a single season . But he never won a Superbowl, but he had more rushing titles than anyone in football history at the time when he played getting the nickname the juice is lose..

@@mikependleton5052 most definitely: "there was more then one person, but they played games with OJ Simpson and lost. They never wanted to believe Allen Park's testimony about that second car in the driveway. And how could Brian Kalain not see who that was walking into OJs house???? He was standing right there. Why didn't the prosecution ask him, "did you see whoever that was entering OJs house? Nope, because that would have interfere with their theory that OJ jumped over the bushes and crashed into the air condition and made all that noise. It would have contradict Allan Park's testimony, because he said he seen that figure and Brian Kalain almost seconds apart! Sorry about the 10:40 I ment 11:40 OJ called from the airport for Brian Kalain to turn on the alarm, by then that second car was gone. That was a "HIT" and OJ Simpson knows exactly who did it. He paid dearly for that crime. And he hired the best lawyer's in America to defend him against some stupid cops, who were planting evidence on a guilty man and they got caught. The glove, the blood evidence, and Mark Fuhrman's bull$#!+ there was so much going on reasonable doubt was established from the very first witness. The prosecution started defending the police, wtf.......and not Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

This is wrong, the driver first Kato in the side yard path of Ashbury, not from behind garage. Also Park's said the figure came from garage area diagonal to the entrance. Oldest of trick for cuts is super glue. Guess jurors can look the other way when OJs fresh blood is at the crime scene, in the Bronco, and dripping up the drive way, with Nicole's and Ron's blood in the Bronco too but pull apart the guilt because a limo driver didn't see a cut or band-aid lol ... why have they made this revisionist version of history? Is OJ coming back to Monday Night football ? This case should be forgotten because OJ had to get off otherwise another massive riot. Law caught up OJ and he did his time for the murders... all's well that ends well.
@JET7C011 ай бұрын
He would've done life without parole for the murders, while he only ended up serving 9 years in prison, from 2008 to 2017, for his armed robbery/kidnapping sentence, after being paroled, so I'm going to disagree he did his time for the murders at all, or that it was some kind of karmic justice. No person found guilty of a double murder, and an _extremely vicious_ one at that, where they nearly decapitated people, would be given the possibility of parole after 9 years, which of course he got ASAP.

I gotta add, you can see OJ meeting the eyes of the witnesses and giving them looks that imply empathy, or friendliness, or "isn't this all so ridiculous?" or "how could you say that?" kinds of expressions, over and over. It's interesting that he does that especially with people who he feels socially higher than, like the limo driver or Kato. Somewhere in storage I have a very humorous novelty piece called "OJ's Yellow Pad" which is a kind of playful imagining of what the hell he was always writing on his legal pad, like cartoons, or comments about the witnesses, caricatures of the judge or Darden, or his own legal team....I hope someday it might be worth something. I guess if I could find it I could've sold it when OJ died. Look for it online, it's pretty funny.
