I’m so sick and tired of sob stories, from criminals, of abuse against them, while growing up, and into their adult lives! My siblings, and I suffered through every form of abuse, throughout our childhood, and early adult years, but the abuse didn’t cause any of us to become criminals, let alone murderers!!🤬🤬🤬 We are all hard-working, law-abiding citizens! It is NOT that hard!!🤷♀️🤬

@Vicki Mariette while it's true only a fraction of abused people become hardcore criminals, it's also true everyone reacts to trauma differently. What one person can survive relatively intact can fracture another's psyche and cause dissociative identity disorder. Like most things trauma reactions are a spectrum, with extremes at both ends.

First of all, the sister and defense attorney have aged beautifully. What strikes me about this is how all these people came together to “help” a woman protect herself from potential fallout from the letter. Very heartbreaking yet intriguing case. These are the faces of true evil. She wronged him and then punished him and his family for her lack of loyalty to a very forgiving man. What I find interesting is that the good Dr ended up keeping the most valuable piece of evidence, the letter, in his pocket. Guessing as a Dr he was probably a pretty detail oriented person. Seems like divine intervention. I personally think the jury got it wrong. If they believe she was guilty of the burglary she was guilty of the murders. I do respect the decision of the jury. It couldn't have been easy. Great video!

I don't really believe the story that they were only there to retrieve the letter. Maria & her boyfriend may have BEGUN by talking about just retrieving the letter, but I think eventually they decided they didn't want to pay back the debt at all...& their plan shifted to retrieving the letter and killing the doctor. Why else would experienced criminals break into a home at night, when the homeowner was guaranteed to be there (& in fact his car was in the driveway!). That's not an accident, that's intentional timing.

Did the defense attorney really believe it was OK to set Maria free on society? She showed no loyalty and was quick to lie about her interrogation. Her behavior did not need to be rewarded with freedom, especially since on the stand she showed no remorse and only made excuses for herself.

It’s not sometimes, it’s always that things work out with a little bit of luck. Never trust or forgive anyone who was able to betray you once. They will do it again 100%.

Strange to think an apology letter, the same thing that would move you to forgive someone, could also be the thing that leads to your death.

What does being sexually assaulted in the past have to do with killing 2 people?

What waste of two men lives who helped other people in that community. Why did the suspect even mention the letter in the first place? The Doctor & His son a Nurse would probably still be alive today! IMO
