Maybe you can just use the insulation boards from menards thats 4x 8 and comes 1/2, 1,1 1/5 and 2 inches thick, maybe it would hold the shape of the bag too. Just a thought.

Great idea. It’s not like photo equipment gets stolen. It may be deceptive but buying all of the foam etc. plus the work, a pelican 1740 is a better case and not that much more money. I hear upholstery shops have scrap foam, that and a Walmart plastic storage box might be my answer. I need something cheap. I do love the idea, great video.

You're missing the point. The whole idea was to get away from your rifle bag looking "tactical" so others won't automatically assume you have firearms in there. Pelican makes great products, but with a pelican, it draws attention and you're either gonna have expensive electronics or guns in it. This bag doesn't scream "tactical" and there isn't molle on the outside that would give it away as a gun tote.

@@dude...are-you-sure I agree, ANYTHING valuable enough to be put in a Pelikan case must be worth selling. They make a great product, however, the case is so expensive it’s just not worth it for junk.

hey how's it going don't want to poke holes into your idea of making a less conspicuous case to transport your guns but in the video I noticed your car has a lot of pro-second Amendment stickers I mean if that doesn't signal to people that do you have guns whether they're in your car or not I think it kind of negates the whole situation doesn't it

Frank, I would agree, if people knew what those stickers meant. Most people wont and they don't give me bad looks like when i walk out the door with a traditional hard rifle case. Thanks for the comment!

See, I'm the opposite. I don't care how people feel about me exercising my rights. Also, it suits me just fine if people know that guns live at my house. Sure, they may break in while I'm away. I have security and insurance for that. They will think twice before coming in while I and my children are there though. That's what I care about.

Its kaizen foam which comes in large sheets, cut them to the size you need!

@@CarbonPrecisionLLCso I got my bag from Amazon today and it looks quite different from yours. I think I might have gotten the wrong bag the interior isn't red but all black. What are the dimensions of your bag? I think the one I got will still work and might not need any foam. It has a foam divider in the middle. I will need to figure out a way to get some straps in there to secure the rifles while in transport. Or it can still work with no straps too. I do want to get the bag you have because I wanted to customize the bag for what I need with the foam.

I watch a lot of videos on KZbin. A lot on guns, prepping, preparing for when the shit might hit the fan. How to dispose of your shit and piss so on and so forth. I just happened to be shopping for a double weapon carry case. Stumbled on to your video. You cracked me up! I mean in a good way. Like what you did! A light bulb went off in my head near the end of your video. Should I copy what you did which was great, or should I just buy a double gun case and put it into a photo light stand bag instead? I won't go into some of the obvious reasons why my idea may not be a great one. Just a thought. A lot of KZbin vids are boring and hard to get through. But you held my interest and it was a joy to watch. You have a thumbs up and another subscriber.

Great idea you have here. Really happy if that works well for you. Here is another counter idea, just for the sake of discussion.... Why not get a gun case and just put a bunch of anti gun, peace and love, unicorns and happy feeling stickers all over it. Then you could blend right in with the "enemy" and they would never suspect a thing.

I am an online seller or small seller . I ship any where from 5 to 20 items a week . And get some good foam from behind Rent a center places . They rent furniture and are always buying new appliances and furniture and electronics. Plus one can get good foam from behind some DR Offices and labs. I don't like the "COOLER TYPE" Foam I like the dense but flexible foam that doesn't have the little balls flying all over the place. You will find good and average foam behind these rent places.

Personally, I find guitar cases to be inefficient for carrying rifles. There is a constant stream of photography equipment leaving the house, so the light stand case makes more sense. What kind of guitar case do you use and what types of firearms?

In New Jersey where I live unfortunately, your gun case needs to be locked. We have some of the worst gun laws in the country. Of a population of 9 million only ~ 1600 people (who are not cops) have carry permits. Because of "Justifiable need". We have no 2nd amendment protection here
