As soon as I saw this card previewed, I knew that it might be too strong to stay in standard. It demands an answer to it quickly, and if no one is provided, it can just run away with the game.

@@chriscunningham6401 I would be surprised if it catches a ban. It's a 5 mana permanent that requires staying in play for many turns in a row to do it's job. There are lots of efficient answers to planeswalkers in Standard. Remember that bans are very rarely done merely because a card is on the high end of power. They're usually done if a card is broken/degenerate in some combo interaction or if the card is oppressive for metagame diversity. Teferi definitely not broken or degenerate. If it is oppressive for metagame diversity we won't know until it's been legal to play for a while.

I started playing mtg about a year ago, and channels like these were my inspiration for playing the game. Recently i started playing bo3 and it's so much better then bo1. Looks like the midrangiest deck that has ever midranged to me, so I would try mono red face smash, mono blue tempo or jund turbo titan reanimator. Edit: also mono white "tax the shit outta you"

Hearse is by far the best graveyard hoser. Lantern also gets rid of the opponent's graveyard once but hearse is an ongoing effect and unlike lantern resemles a huuge creature later in the game. Ive run in in dominaria standard and I only can recommend trying it as it's even decent outside of graveyard matchups
