@Zen Kuroi if you do in fact enjoy something created by your favorite musicians/content creators, you should be inspired if you want to play/produce like them Practicing is the #1 answer
@RozoTheGreat5 жыл бұрын
@Zen Kuroi honestly I had a similar gut reaction watching her play but after actually giving it a whole 2 hours it turns out the main riff isn't that hard. Learn to play some of your favorite artists' work, if not even just for a couple seconds and you'll get a great window into how much you can improve. Good thing is there's tutorials out for this song too!
@gregbatchelor92055 жыл бұрын
@Zen Kuroi don't be disheartened, and never compare yourself to others - we're all different. Nobody else in the world will ever sound like Yvette, and that's okay. The trick is to find the spark of your own groove whatever that is, and when you do find it, work like a madman on it. The time's gonna pass, either way.
@gregbatchelor92055 жыл бұрын
@Zen Kuroi I'm no expert, but I do believe in comparing yourself to who you were a year ago - the truth is if you work at something consistently on a regular basis, but if after a year or two you think you see no improvement whatsoever, and above all if you're not enjoying what you're doing and it is only stressful, maybe ask yourself whether you need to adapt and try a different style? There's no point banging your head against a brick wall dude.

The riff at 0:47 really stuck with me ever since I saw her play it in one of her practice vids some 3 years ago. Fast forward to 2020, I have Spotify radio on, so it's playing songs I haven't heard yet, right? Imagine my surprise when the Shibuya riff starts playing-I had no idea Covet even existed and that they recorded this. @@juanpgomez1299 They're expensive haha. I play guitar too and whenever I'm learning new styles of playing I prefer to do so through learning someone else's song that I like and practicing it until I got the technique down so I can implement it into my own song writing. A lot of these really technical players are playing on 7 or 8 string guitars which means I can't learn their songs since I don't own one and I don't have the desire at the moment to buy one.
