I made the trip to Kidron, OH from Tennessee to meet Kent and Shannon during a windy day at their signing event at Lehman's - it was an alll around great time! Beyond getting to meet these fine folks, the fellow attendees made up one of the best group of humans I've had the pleasure of mingling with. What else can be said? Good people just attract more good people. If you're seeing this comment and find yourself within reach of one of the upcoming book tour stops, do yourself a big favor and sign up - it'll be the best day of your week, you can go home with a signed copy of a book (or three) you'll love to share with friends, and you just might get to eat a sample of cobbler. How can you beat that?! If Kent and Shannon see this comment - I'd like to say thank you again for heading out on the road to meet your fans in person - I bet it's hard work, but it means alot to a bunch of the best folks around. (When I make one of your recipes during one of our cast iron cooking group's demonstrations, I'll send along a picture!)

I think what makes you better than other chefs is how you always add more than a generous amount of cheese!
@chriscarter7182 Жыл бұрын
That might have been a lesson Kent learned a few years ago when he did a guest cook with one particular lady! I recall her comment was something along the line of "If something ain't quite right, just add more cheese"! I can't find a link back to the original video, but it's a lesson I've learned! My arteries are probably the diameter of a straight pin but cheese is a very frequent visitor on our dinner table. Cheese is comfort food, not necessarily health food, at least not the way we go thru a brick of cheese in this house.

Thank you for your love and support of our military folks. I share the sentiments. Many of my family served, including my uncle, Robert H. Holloway, who was stationed on the USS Hancock during the Vietnam war. He was an armorer on deck and was lost overboard at night, never found. And now my soon-to-be son in law just deployed to Germany from Ft. Campbell, Ky. I'll bet he would LOVE this dish. I'll be sure to make it when he gets home. Thanks for the yummy recipes! 🙏 Give the doggos some scratches from all of us here 🙂

I am no pro cook, but I have learned that if I want to thicken a sauce with flour... I add the flour to some cold milk{ or gravy mix and water, if I am thickening gravy} and add that mixture to the dish, works well for preventing lumps. Celebration of Easter will be great... He is risen. Blessings to you all

I’m going to try this recipe with my 17 year old granddaughter although instead of ham because I cannot eat ham, I’m going to try it with a little bit of very chopped up bacon. It looks yummy and I suggest to everyone my hats off to Mr. Kent Rollins on his original seasoning if you have not got it get it now I have severe Gastro and I have an ulcer and this stuff is gluten free and takes the place of every seasoning in your cabinet easy on my stomach. I just love it I can now throw everything else out and just use his season original season. I just got it today and I’ve already used it. It took an otherwise bland mill, and instead of me using a bunch of different seasonings I just use a tad of that I am boy. This is one happy camper. Yo have to try it.
