Nick, I wasn't impressed with Watson when he was in Houston and thought the Browns trading for him was a huge mistake. Now, he DID have shoulder surgery so maybe it gets better. I like your content so much, DBlair, that I'll give you an inside tip: #13 DeMarvion Overshown is a player worth keeping an eye on this year. The dude has JETS at the weakside LB position. 3rd-rounder in '23 out of Texas, missed his entire rookie season with a torn ACL last year, so this was his debut-all he did was finish with a team-leading 11 tackles, 2 TFLs & the insane sack at 12:21 from the opposite hash 15 yards downfield. He put another lick on Watson at 13:41 to force a turnover on downs. Overshown is gonna be the one of the best kept secrets in the NFL, but not for long. edit: Also, I wish they'd included Aubrey's 66 yard attempt at the end of the first half. Dude drilled it (of course) but it was a dead play because McCarthy's dumb ass let the play clock run out without calling a timeout. Initially they lined up to let him try the 71-yarder, and honestly I think he had a better than 50% chance at it based on how much distance to spare the 66-yarder had. But McCarthy bitched out and they just settled for a sad attempt at a Hail Mary

Tbf that was an official error on the play clock that they didn't correct. They didn't call timeout because they were under the impression the play clock was being reset and then it wasn't so they got flagged for delay of game. Maybe they should have called timeout but the refs should have waived off the flag because the play clock wasn't reset properly.

It wasnt MM on that, the official never reset the play clock. And I'm actually happy they didnt try the 71 yarder. In hindsight (considering the hail mary play) they may have been better off for it but I thought MM showed composure in that moment. Dont let Browns steal momentum with a return for TD on a short kick. FG units are mostly big guys.
