Staffies are absolute sweethearts and will do anything to please you. My wife rescued a Staffy a few years ago and he had to stay with us overnight, the problem being that we had two dogs of our own, and we didn't know how he would react to them. He was very calm, although a bit unsure, but when my wife went to bed and our dogs went with her, he jumped up beside me and just wanted cuddles. I am happy to report that we dropped him off with his new owners the next day and we kept in contact with them and saw how happy he was in his new home.

@@TwilightOfMoore1 Definitely an awesome dog and your point is right most of the time, but not always. Very often, after a dog attack, you hear "he's always been such a gentle dog". Pitbulls are a perfect example (I love them and have one, my 3rd one) and they all have been sweet and calm, like the way we raised them...but you never know.

I understand that sometimes certain breeds or appearances can be more intimidating (sometimes due to silly superstitions, past experiences, or generalizations), but all it takes is a few minutes to see what an absolute sweetheart this dog is. He's clearly more gentle and good-natured than most children lol

I use to take care of two dogs. The male was a Lab and Pit mix, he was very big, but he had natural puppy eyes and he behaved like a baby. He was super social around everybody. People were intimidated by him, but he was just a big teddy bear. He never barked at anybody he would look at them wondering why aren't they petting him cause he knew he was cute. The female was the same (Pit and boxer mix), except she craved attention more. She didn't respect personal boundaries. If she wanted attention she would not stop staring, making noises like she was talking and begging, and would jump on to the couch and would lick your hands, arms, and face into a slimy mess until you started petting her. Both looked imposing, but were such sweethearts. Truly kind hearted animals.

I lost my staffie Maxi a couple of months ago. Hate the bad reputations they have. She was a fantastic dog, neighbours children in holidays would come over every day to play with her. Such a gentle dog with love for everyone she met. At first some dog walkers would avoid her, but once they knew her and saw how she would play nicely with dogs, she was always greeted by them. It gave me pride to tell them that she was just a normal behaved Staffie and she was how staffies are when trained correctly. She left a hole in my heart when she passed.

Kenshi is adorable! My brother has a Staffy and he is the most gentle, laid back dog I've ever seen. I myself have a Doberman female and a Pitbull male - both look fierce, but both are silly cuddlebugs!! Not all dogs considered "dangerous" are deserving that bad reputation.

We completely agree! Dogs, regardless of breed, are capable of being gentle and loving pets when raised with love and care. It's so important not to judge a dog by its breed and to get to know them individually. Staffies are the best. We have had 4 over 35 years 3 boys and 1 Girl all rescues except the girl. They love to snuggle, eat whatever your eating, sleep in your bed, snore a little and all the boys were big talkers the girl not so much, but she still gives attitude and does a howl/bark thing. Apart from toys and soft furnishings, a few shoes, furniture, doors and walls exploding when they are left alone which is rare and sometimes costly I don't have any problems with English or American Staffordshire Bull Terriers. There is no such thing as a bad dog or breed just badly bred people who have no business owning any animals. We had a Staffie, well several actually. One could have been Kenshi's twin. Pitch black, white patch on his chest and a heart of gold. A gentle soul, his name was Seff. They are an amazing breed and make the best friends ❤

Thank you for this video, we lost our sweet 12 year old staffy two weeks ago when she suddenly passed away 😪your sweet dog reminded me of my Libby, best dog we ever owned.
