I own one in .22 caliber. Like so many other owners have reported in forums, I had ridiculous problems with [in]accuracy. Apparently Crosman skimps and uses very cheap barrels which for some reason seems to affect the .22 model more than the .177 or .25. Crosman only seemed to respond to my repeated questions about this when I began to join public conversations on airgun forums. Not idea customer service at all. I ended up spending $205 to replace the crappy stock barrel with an aftermarket version that is very high quality (Wicked Air Rifles). The results were great, but again: had to spend $205 on top of the $450 for the stock rifle. Crosman has been well aware of this problem for years and by all accounts hasn't done a thing to rectify it. I know some owners might read this and either disagree or even get mad that I'm criticizing Crosman. But by Crosman's own admission online in various forums they acknowledge the issue, yet nothing changes. I say all this in the hopes that others will do their homework before buying a Marauder. Had I read the forums in depth I never would have bought one.

+Christopher Marchiando I just bought a marauder .25 for the same reason. Crosman makes a good rifle, but the quality on their barrels is inferior to other brands. I would not have purchased a Marauder in .25 if crosman made the barrel, but since green mountain makes them I knew the rifle would shoot accurately and thankfully it does. In addition, prior to the marauder I've owned other corpsman airguns like the Quest, Trail Np and they all had the same inaccuracy the Marauder .22 and .177 has.

I spoke with the Nolser guys at the SCI show in Reno and they said they are still trying to find a way to make these work. The biggest issue they are seeing are variances in bore diameter causing unpredictable results. I suggested a small flair skirt to catch the grooves like a regular pellet, but who knows.

I have this air rifle - key word here is AIR RIFLE and not a FIREARM. Think about that point first when the gov comes in and takes your FIREARMS. The Benji is powerful and very accurate. There is NO SOUND when it is fired and at 50 yards on a bench I put 5 out of 5 inside a Nickel EVERY TIME. It will take out Wolf sized animals quickly, quietly every time. It is a heavy gun so is not one for the ladies or kids and my wife can not even hold it freehand in shooting position for more than 5 secs.

Everything he said is correct except for it being quiet. LOUD!!!... Mine is tweaked up for pest control so I'm only getting 16 shots between 2000-3000psi. Owned it since 2014 and it's still going strong and as accurate as it was the day I unboxed it. Money well spent!!!

@@edgarlombera7066 Same here. I was a springer and CO2 guy before that. My .25cal mrod was purchased to kill nuisance squirrels. I tweaked for 36-45 fpe (800-900) with 25.39gr. At that power setting it sounds like one of my rim fire rifles.

the marauder pistol is made in USA, i'm 99% sure. Pretty sure the rifle is too. The marauder rifle is probably the best PCP air rifle buy out there, parts are easy and cheap to get, customer service comes from New york you don;t have to send a gun back to china or something, and it is top notch. I love my marauder pistol!

The gun looks like an over & under and that lower tube is an air reservoir. The tank attached w/ a standard Foster fitting. Fill the reservoir then dettach the tank. Keep the tank in the truck or backpack. The gun will get 23-25 shots off a fill.

well a 22 rifle cost under $200 new and you can get semi auto too. ammo is hard to right now for everything, you can get a 17hmr and drill critters out to 300 yards cheaper. but some people are nuts for these air rifles, i like them but they just cost to much.

+mathew Hoffa ... it was a Benjamin Rogue.. .357 cal. That was about 4 - 5 years ago, they only had it on the market for about a year.... haven't seen it since. It was too complicated with electronic controls for air flow, etc, etc..... and were having problems with it, so it was removed from the market.... not sure if they're still trying to rectify the issues, or not.

How do you know how much property the guy had? All they showed was a tree. Maybe they didn't show the damage the racoon had done to the yard or garden. I've personally spent more on repairing my front lawn after rabbits have eaten it and pee'd in large spots killing much of the grass then the cost of the Marauder rifle I now use to stop the little boogers. And they're tasty too.

He didnt say accurate to a couple hundred yards he said maximum range. Meaning it won't cause damage after that. Max accuracy range is somewhere around 125 yards if you are a great shot.

A .177 could kill a human still so why not a yote? It's all about shot placement. If you use a 10.5 grain holllow point style ammunition and aim for the head there is no reason a .177 shouldn't kill a coyote. Now as for a body shot, I wouldn't trust such a small caliber to do enough collateral damage.

22lr rounds are at every walmart.And you can get 500 of them for around 10 bucks same price as a tin of pellets.25 cal pellets are much harder to find and even more pricey than 22 rounds.I love airguns but they haven't come far enough to compete with firearms.Airguns do win when it comes to sound though.

The barrels aren't what they were or what they could be! Luckily I have an older one. I hope I never need a replacement barrel. I own a benamin marauder in 25 cal and after owing it for 3 years , I would never shoot a coyote unless it was 5 feet away from me . These guys are lying through their teeth about the capability of this rifle on a predator such as a coyote.

@@spiderman0863 I tuned my stock gen1 to 45fpe (25.39gr). 16 shots. You have to play with valve adjustments but it's most definitely reachable and then some. I probably could have squeezed out more but I settled for a 16 solid shots. Mine is used exclusively for pest control and I believe it will take out a coyote.

42 foot pounds of energy...WOW! Get real. A .22 CB is about that, a regular .22 short is about 70 ft lbs, . 22 LR is usually between 170 and 200 lbs. I'm not saying you can't kill a coyote with one of these or a .22 CB round but unless at very close range not going to be easy. Of course if you just use CB or Shorts in your .22 you don't need one of these expensive air rifles I guess

It would be pretty easy actually. If it's a head shot and you have a decent tune, I'm running a high shot count tune (so low power) and I'm still getting 42 ft lbs. You could easily get the rifle shooting 50 ft lbs. With that power at 100 or less yards a headshot would kill a coyote, because even if the pellet doesn't directly strike the brain, the concussion from the round will kill it.

You also have to understand that this is not a rifle made to compete with center fire/ rim fire weapons. It is just something different. Would be like bashing the archers saying "well my 300 win mag can shoot harder". Well yes, but that's not the point and it's the same idea here. If anything this sport is more challenging since the energy is much less your shots have to be that much better and you have to be able to get that much closer to the animals.
