Yeii Nevermoor is on this list! It sure is a perfect fit for Christmas/winter. These books are amazing. The series only gets better and better. I’m not surprised The Bear and the Nightingale is on this list haha but I am happy that it is. It’s so beautifully written and is so atmospheric and the characters will steal your heart.

Nevermoor is by far one of my favorite books to read on audiobook! I never liked audiobooks before getting a concussion and spending a full week only listening to this series. Highly highly suggest ❤

In a Holidaze is my favorite holiday romance! I also love Nevermoor, and I'm hoping to reread it/finish the series this winter. Plus, Under the Whispering Door is really jumping up my reading list. I didn't care for A Winter's Promise, though, or at least not the translation (I counted the word "lugubrious" in the text 5 times).

I've been trying to read The Bear and the Nightingale for a couple years. I keep picking it up and then getting bored and putting it down after about 50 pages. I reallyyyy want to like it but I just can't get into it. I'm gonna try it one more time and try to push through and if I can't do it again, I'm going to give up for good 😅

I highly recommend the audio book for this if that's an option for you. It is a slow atmospheric book but the narrator with her russian accent really pulled me in. Idk if I would have finished a physical read of this book as it felt too slow but the audio is one of my favorites.

When recommending fantasy books on Likewise, most people are like, "ACOTAR, ACOTAR, ACOTAR" and I'm like, "Bear and the Nightingale, Bear and the Nightingale, Bear and the Nightingale." For every topic that it even remotely fits under. Hahaha

Honestly book 1 and 2 are great but then the 3rd felt just ok for me and I couldn't finish the last one (I've read them in french so I don't know about the quality of the translation) I would still recommend them (1st and 2nd) but knowing that it was a bit of a deception (for the 3rd and 4th)

I would say if you want to get sucked in but not feel like it’s a huge commitment start with a trilogy of some sort: shadow and bone, six of crows, remembrance of earths past, or the broken earth trilogy.
