Great show, and I assume that lots of viewers have no clue how many time it needs to create such a short clip. 👌Anyways, Christmas Eve is nearly over, and we already got "Bescherung" which means the opening of Christmas gifts. Tomorrow we are visiting our relatives, and we´ll stay there until Friday because we got two Christmas holidays over here. Merry Christmas to you and your family! One of the treats we had growing up was Taai-Taai (said like: tie-tie) a Dutch word literally translated as tough-tough. They were chewy and a bit tough, especially after being out a while, and had spices in them. Those, and almond rings with almond past filling 😋. Hope all goes well and you get what you wished for 👍👍

*Small Update on that $40 unit I got last week Renee with the Coolers, tents and tables. There was a small leather purse, rather heavy filled with coins. Taco Stacks did his Coinstar video so I figured I took mine to the credit Union. Total... $65 for my $40 unit. My Mom ( Former Home-Economics teacher)when we were younger always did lots of baking at Christmas to make treat Plates for friends and neighbors. Hours of cooking. 2 or three types of fudge, a variety of cookies, divinity candy, etc to give to neighbors and friends. LOTS of work. Like giving a personal hand-made gift. Not sure anybody does THAT anymore. Thing of the past. You just pick one up already made at COSTCO now

The recipes were interesting for me. Some ingredients are rarely used for Christmas baking here, like pumpkin or corn syrup. But what is “carnation milk” and what is “morning milk” 😄? A cookbook called, "Growing Up with Milk!" Milk could do no wrong when I was a kid but it's a bit out of fashion now, isn't it? So many wonderful things to eat with so many ingredients!
