I don't know where you received all your cooking knowledge, but you are amazing. From someone who absolutely hates to cook, you make cooking look so effortless. All the while carrying a baby on your frontside and having 6 other children all around. I only have to cook for 2 and I can't seem to muster up the desire to do so. I get inspired from watching you cook. I admire how you find ways to utilize cost saving measures to feed your family. You never seem to be stressed out about cooking. Thank you for sharing your day and cooking skills!!

I didn’t learn to really cook until I was on my own because I wasn’t allowed to venture in the kitchen. Something that helped me was thinking about things I’ve always wanted to learn to cook from scratch (because I had a very tight budget) and I learned how to make something new each week and would have leftovers to last me. I now love cooking and baking.

Yes.... Me too!!! Cooking was never my favorite thing...esp now St age 73..haha!!! But I had 3 kids and did enjoy making food they liked at the time!!!! Now these videos are so amazing and this young woman with 7 kiddos to boot...well, she is extremely gifted and such a patient gal!! I lived seeing the kids in the living room with a fort and total caos because it's more important to let them play, have safe fun then worry if the house gets “messy”!!!! Then after they will learn how to clean it up again!!! Ha!!! So fun to watch,, thank you!!! God be with you all!!!!

This video brought back so many great memories! My mom used to add brown sugar and ketchup to the top of her meatloaf (so yummy!) and my grandmother would make her broth from chicken feet too!! It made me smile when you talked about the venison bc my husband is a hunter and I always have an abundance of venison. It’s soo delish, healthy, natural, good for the planet and free! I probably thank God every day for the blessing of it. I have been obsessed with your soups lately, it’s been very cold here, and will definitely be making the zuppa next week for sure! Thanks Lisa! Loved seeing the babe too! 🥰😍

Everything looked so delicious. I love to do a whole chicken with mashed potatoes one night, and then I repurpose the leftovers the next night. I add sour cream, bacon, green onion, and cheese to the mashed potatoes and bake it. I make the chicken into chicken patties with some eggs, mayo, cheese, dill, flour, lemon pepper, etc. Cover them with breadcrumbs and brown them in my cast iron skillet. My family loves this meal!

We’re chicken farmers and also make/sell bone broth. Chicken frames (what’s left after removing the breast, leg/thigh and wing) are awesome for broth…we bake them for an hour and then slow simmer with veggies and herbs for 24 hours! Our customers LOVE it and it’s SO healthy!

Venison is nice. I was gifted some from a friend of mine who hunts and I made a venison bourguignon from it with Julia Childs recipe. It was seriously the best thing I ever made. All you have to do is soak the meat in vinegar and water to deal with the gamey taste. So good. I like the idea of chicken feet for the broth. Smart.

We love to make loaded omelets for dinner in the winter especially for last minute meals. They are fast, easy, versatile, one pan and cheap. If I have left over potatoes from fries that I have made the day before, I'll chop them up and throw them in the mix to make it more of a hash. I just discovered your channel a few days ago and I love it! I have my first ever sourdough starter working on the counter. Can't wait to try it and hopefully make it a family staple.

I love watching you serve your family, and I want to thank you for giving us a glimpse into how you serve God’s people in your community. ❤️ Your broth looks fantastic! I was wondering if you could please tell me about how many feet you use with the one shell to make the bone broth. I’ve been struggling to get my broth to fully gel. It still tastes good. However, I know if it doesn’t gel, that it is lacking the collagen we need. 😬

My daughter has a 14 quart pressure pot and she bought me a 12 quart for Christmas……it’s so nice to make more broth then a 8 quart allowed at one time….with just two of us I freeze the broth in a freezer bag inserted in a square pan then after it’s frozen I vac seal it in a vac bag so as to limit freezer burn and lengthening the time it will be good…. I’ve been using my wood stove for making soups, sauces and simmering meat…saves on electricity…..also enables two meals cooked at one time when I’m making another meal in the pressure pot. You use all those iron skillets, have you tried a iron griddle that sets on two burners…..so easy to make lots of eggs or pancakes on then the skillets…..great for pizza bagels also.

White flag You are amazing, hands down best mother wife and friend. Thanks for helping out those in need inside and outside of your family. These are crazy difficult times for those of us in health care, would love to learn how to do all of this in shorter time frame and give to others. Thank you for making everything look so easy, doable and beautiful. I absolutely love your channel. Your children are so beautiful! I love when they are in the video/clogs. Hugs xoxoxo

Love these recipes. I have made two different soups in the last few days. I live alone but shared with my sister. Delicious

Chicken feet broth is great for people who suffer auto-immune illnesses! It's also great for skin, hair and nails. Sadly, I don't have a source near me. So glad you're raising your kids instead of the TV (other devices) or daycare. What a blessing. It sure makes a difference in so many ways, but especially for them.

It looks absolutely delicious - all of it! I am still amazed at your pace and efficiency when dealing with all that you do - with Theo in the sling and the rest of the kids around!! Do you ever cook vegetarian meals?? - would love som farmhouse inspiration! How long does Theo stay in his sling - looks super cozy! You are such a cool mama!!
