Pretty well handled I thought. I would like to see more of the failures that haven't been covered yet in your videos.

What is malfunction was using for "Aileron failure" section? Did not see any ECAM messages, except of SPLR FAULT (# 3). I suppose, it should be ELAC 1+2 or L+R Sidestick Fault messages.

Very difficult to fly this particular failure. Especially when the auto thrust is still engaged. Big thrust variations makes the pitch very lively. That is why he is having to work extra hard. Good job for two student pilots without that much experience.

4:31 I wonder if the plane is still intact if that happens in real scenario.
@Persephone_10 жыл бұрын
The landing gear would probably need a replacement. Oh, and all the spines of the passengers on board. xD
@FrancescoVenturelli9 жыл бұрын
+cruxader27 those "simulators" are the closest level of simulation possible to real life. if they didn't crash on that simulator they probably wouldn't have crashed in real life.
@louist1037 жыл бұрын
Gear might need replacement. Definitely going to need new tires. Hopefully not too much frame damage which could cause a complete hull loss.

That is actually softer than a ryanair landing.

Great video. But I thought you never land with autobrake max. And can you guys do a landing with all flaps/slats failed? Would be amazing.
@Wolf_IT10 жыл бұрын
It's a good idea in emergency situations just incase you start to run out of runway
@rikis826610 жыл бұрын
You are very wrong on this fact! You can land with autobrake max when ever needed! Especially in emergency...
@halbi123410 жыл бұрын
i stand corrected. thanks guys
@ivanzabara6705 жыл бұрын
Late response here) Guys, how you have armed MAX autobrake in flight? A320 FCOM: SYSTEM ARMING The system arms when the crew presses the LO, MED, or MAX pushbutton switch if: ‐ Green pressure is available. ‐ The anti-skid system has electric power. ‐ There is no failure in the braking system. ‐ At least one ADIRS is functioning. Note: 1. Auto brake may be armed with the parking brake on. 2. *MAX autobrake mode cannot be armed in flight.*

why dont you try loosing all hydraulics?
@hauptchr9 жыл бұрын
Flying in mechanical backup mode (pitch control via THS) is much easier, if you fly also with manual thrust. With A/T on, if you over-react with the trim wheel, A/T will change the thrust a lot which results in addidional moments which you have to compensate with the THS. Let your pilot monitoring be your "A/T" , you say e.g. give me 52% N1, now give me 50% N1 ect. So you can simultaniousely change the trim. Or leave manual thrust at a fixed value. Of course, your speed will change, maybe +/- 10 kt IAS. Why not, no problem at all. But you need only minor changes for the THS to control your pitch.

if elevator control is lost (in this case trim is still functioning) i would extend flaps to generate lift to pitch the nose up if necessary and retract to pitch down mixing in power needed, and use rudder and engine thrust to steer aircraft.
@iraniran82208 жыл бұрын
oh my god did you use the thrust revers before landing?

DaDonkeyHD Is there a set o mechanical control on Airbus in case a total flight control failure? I only ask because I know Boeing 737 has.
@DaDonkeyLetsPlays9 жыл бұрын
I dunno should be
9 жыл бұрын
+mrcannotfindaname The rudder pedals and the trim wheel are the only controls mechanically linked for obvious reasons, the rest is done by fly-by-wire.

really this is 21 century . why any manufacture company cant build a plane with easy controls, without hundred of switches, i mean bit easy. like vehicles that anyone can drive. if that auto pilot can fly and land automaticly. why they cant build a one fully automatic. really cant we invade the sky like aliens ships without pushing one by one , bla bla bla , keep setting. so annoying. i mean so pissing off when i looking at these complicated things.
@tomstravels5205 жыл бұрын

@bobalobalie8 жыл бұрын
Kaydn Burns Their flight controls failed completely. So, the landing was actually quite good considering they were manually flying by using trim wheel and rudder and had no controls with the sidestick. That would have been a completely survivable landing of all passengers and crew. This was damn impressive flying.

BewareTheIdes Oh damn, i didnt know that lol, i didnt even read the title, i drank a couple beers last night so i was just watching random airplane videos (im a pilot in training). But then yea, amazing landing
