I saw you playing this and got really interested. So I bought it yesterday. I've already beaten it once with an attack heavy character and now I'm going for a pure umami build. I just bought Crab Souls last weekend and beat it last night and tbh it was the first game I've played in a while that got me a little emotional. From the adorable design, the stellar and guttural voice acting, sound design, music, the references and Easter eggs and homages to the roots of Soulslike really show a deep love and appreciation for the genre, and even the story was so well done cuz as silly and unserious as it could be at times I genuinely got a little emotional at the end credits and that hasn't happened to me in a while, probably not since The Ringed City. Absolutely an all around wonderful experience, though a bit frustrating at times like Charlie said because the combat is a bit clunky (Not being able to cancel a light attack combo into a heavy attack), but even then Another Crab's Treasure has such an insane amount of heart and soul put into it and it's just the best love letter to the genre I've ever seen.

While a month late, you can parry every move he does, save the big one that has knockback as its a Crushing Attack, which you can't parry. More accurately, that can hit for an insane amount of damage - depending on your shell, it can also potentially just flat out one shot you, as well as having a delayed start to bait you before delivering the punch. All in all, a really fun fight!
