I did the corner2corner blanket in a solid Bernat yarn only because they wanted a solid not stipes. Thanks for the tutorial.

Did you start a new cake for borders or were the scrap pieces of yarn enough?

The scrap pieces were enough, but just barely. I think if I was going to do it again, I would have just done the border with a new ball of Bernat Blanket in a solid color. Thanks for watching!

That's the beauty of crochet- it's crocheters choice! This pattern works up great in solids too! I agree there is an overwhelming amount of striping yarns on the market right now! I'm not totally sick of them yet but I will try to add some non striped yarn into the rotation!

Is Bernat Blanket Yarn the same weight as Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn? Are both kinds interchangeable??😊

To my knowledge Bernat Blanket, Baby Blanket, Blanket Stripes, Blanket Brights, and Baby Blanket Stripes are all the same yarn, just different colors/patterns and are entirely interchangeable. Blanket Big, Blanket Tiny, Blanket Pet, Blanket Jumbo are all different sizes and are not interchangeable- with each other or with any of the standard Blanket yarns. Thanks for watching!

They look nice with out a border too, but I love the way the crab stitch looks on a blanket edge, especially if you are looking for something that isn't fans or too lacy.

Great tutorial, I love the crab stitch border! I just started a baby blanket like this with the same yarn. What are the dimensions of your blanket? How many cakes did you use in total for this project?

The blanket is about 36 inches square. I used two cakes. I worked increases until I was just about done with the first ball and then started decreasing. Be sure to buy enough yarn if that you can line up your color changes from ball to ball if you need to.
