That’s fishing wire, commonly used back in the day for stop motion due to it being very thin and transparent, making it not show up on older film. Of course here, it’s not actual fishing wire, just an animation trick, but one that really helps sell this as actual old school stop motion used in Rankin-Bass films.

things I love about this one: 1. “ICU” the liquid snow (basically his blood) is meaning he came out of the hospital. 2. “Missing his accessories” he’s missing his hat, scarf, and his shirt is not buttoned up (I don’t think it was in the first place) which is know showing his Male part. Edit: (he’s also missing his gloves and has a fucking needle in his arm at the intro) so all of this means he _REALLY_ got into coke.
