@@ReelRonDog - You are totally misinformed!!! They don’t charge people for having small traces on them detected by e.g. the chromatograph (e.g. on bills of money)!!! They don’t charge people unless they find actual drugs hidden in their luggage or on/in their body. If they can’t find anything after the chromatograph machine has «sniffed» and found traces, they won’t be charged. They will search everything they have very well and possibly searching the person, including doing an X-ray, but if nothing is found, they won’t be arrested and charged. They don’t just arrest and charge people without proper evidence, that’s just how it is. Legal security… PS! It isn’t uncommon that people have trace amounts of cocaine on them, because they carry bills of cash that has either been used for snorting cocaine or have been in contact with bills that has been used for that purpose. It does not say a thing about who used the money for drug use, it could be anybody. These bills are just circulated out there and any of us may get it, something customs of course are very well informed about.

Border Control are absolutely 💯 preventing catastrophic things. They deserve a raise. They keep us safe. ❤

They're only affecting the tip of the iceberg. The penalties are pathetic & encourage other criminals to keep breaking the weak laws.

When passengers become verbally abusive, border control should be able to let them wait until they are respectful When passengers are respectful, then talk to them It’s a waste of time and not helpful for border security to have to be repeating themselves to adults throwing a temper tantrum

Anyone attempting to smuggle drugs into a country is just plain stupid in this day and age. Sniffer dogs and cameras and astute customs officers. Smugglers deserve to be caught and jailed. It is really worth the risk ? I think not. I sometimes worry that a baggage handler has slipped something into suitcase pocket.

I mean a lot of them are still getting away with it, so they must be pretty smart lol

Yeah, but why can they not staff the Red Line?
@tomwallen72715 ай бұрын
Not to disagree with customs, but I bet they can count on one hand the number of times people have used that red phone. It is not a suitable 'second chance' for people to declare goods.

@0:51 "the passenger seems nervous" To be fair even if I had nothing illegal in my bag I'd be nervous af if a sniffer dog pulled to get to me then started pawing at my bag.

Wow, I'd always heard about the white.cliffs of Dover, but could not picture them. Now I can. Thank you.

The red phone is a joke. Who can read that tiny sign when getting off a plane, probably jet lagged, and they just want out of the airport.
@brookebixler10403 ай бұрын
Right?! If I didn’t see an airport staff standing there, I wouldn’t think to stop either and forget trying to look at or read that itty bitty sign!! Smh

I’m so impressed with the UK Border/Airport officers. They perform a much-needed job, and they do it with professionalism and efficiency. In addition, oftentimes they take a lot of verbal abuse from frustrated travelers. But the ones that are over the top awesome are the gorgeous canines.❤
