Hihi! I love that you are branching out and sharing other crafts besides knitting. It's always fun to see what else is out there, besides the more big name/well known ones! I am currently trying to learn how to sew. My mother is a reallllly accomplished quilter, so when she found out I was purchasing project bags she was like "Nuh uh girl, you're going to learn!" So I have been really enjoying that experience, though I'm pretty terrible at it currently. I look forward to seeing your diamond paintings! I always thought they looked neat, but I haven't tried one myself... yet! Hope you're doing well! See you next time :)

Hi Megan! I just can't get enough of your energy and enthousiasm about crafts. I began to sew when I was 8 and started knitting about 5 years ago. I really miss sewing my own clothes and hope to get back at it. Actually, I had to pause your episode and purchase indy pattern because your love for crafts was so contagious 😉 I can also crochet, recently started to spin (on a wheel and drop spindle). I also started to cross stitch in 2016. I have yet to finish a project, but really hope I can finish a Mario Bos cross stitch for my boyfriend this Christmas. I think that's about it for crafts, though I bought an embroidery kit last fall and should at least start it hehe. I also really like to build legos, is that weird? Anyways, I really like the changes that are happening on your podcast, and am excited to see what are your thoughts on the diamond paintings!

I also want to say I love your energy when you're talking about crafting! 😁 In addition to knitting, I do crochet, spinning, sewing, jewelry making, and leatherwork! I think out of everything, knitting is my favorite; but I also just enjoy making things I think. ❤

Hi Megan! I do all the crafts!!! I quit my manager job in 2006 and opened summer gallery...had only knitted socks and paintings I made, the rest I bought or commissioned...then in 2008 I had everthing made by me, except Tiffany lamps! So I am into knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, decoration, mirrors, painitngs...I sure forgot somethings. But no diamond paintings! Hugs from Croatia, Ada PS I got a lot of wear and compliments this summer/fall from the Veni Vidi Vici shawls I tested for you .)

Wow that's amazing that you opened a gallery for your crafts and paintings! I love that you do lots more than just knitting, and I'm also quite happy that your Veni Vidi Vici shawl got lots of wear!

I love your videos! Fellow Megan here. Lol. I'm currently working on a crochet portrait. A friend of mine is a comic artist and I took one of his pictures and made a chart on stitch fiddle of it. Each stitch is a single crochet. It's about 75k stitches and I am about 30% done. I'm super excited to get it finished. 🙃

Hello Meagan, I was thinking maybe you should try to sell your bead projects at Balboa Park, because there is always a lot of people down there. I did dap in to Cross Stitch, a while back, but I have been thinking about going back to it again.

Hey Megan! Thank you for talking about these cool crafts on Herrshners! As I was watching this episode, I bought a couple of beaded banner kits for my kids’ rooms. So thank you for talking about them, I had no idea they existed 😀 As far as other crafts, apart from knitting and crocheting, I do cross-stitching and just started to learn sewing. I have also been doing diamond painting for a while now, but I had no idea where to find their kits in the States. My Mom always brings me a couple of kits from Russia when she visits, but thanks to you I now know where to buy them here. Again, thank you! As always, love your personality and your craft journey is amazing! Looking forward to your next episode! Cheers! 🤗

Hey Megan! I definitely often think about being conscious of how many pieces of knitwear I make for myself... like how many hats should I own? And I have 5 shawls, but I only really wear two of them. I've made hats for charity/donation, and other stuff for baby gifts, but for some reason, I don't have many people I feel like I know enough to knit gifts for- like what they'd want, and what color and everything. Idk, I feel in a way responsible for how much "stuff" I put out into this already very materialistic world. But I want to knit every day! I'm now into knitting sweaters for myself because I live in Wisconsin and I love wearing my handknit sweaters. As far as other crafts, pretty much only knit at the moment, I'm trying to learn some crochet here and there, because I want to make a granny hexagon scrap blanket. Before I knit, I was super into embroidery and cross stitch. As far as more random crafting, a few years ago I picked up a bunch of perler beads at Micheal's and made a bunch of pixelated Mario characters out of perler beads. Oh and recently my boyfriend and I inherited his late grandmother and aunt's crafting stuff, and there was a whole box of tatting (like lace not tattooing, ha) stuff! It looks like his aunt was into making lace for a while. It looks super intriguing, but not enough that I want to pick that up yet, but I have it in the craft room in case I want to learn that. I also want to learn to sew and get a screen printing station setup someday.

Yeah I think sweaters are going to become my new regular knitting project too- they're more practical and they don't "collect" like shawls / hats / accessories. And I love hearing that you're a tatter! I have a friend here who introduced me to the craft but it looks so small and complex. I definitely appreciate a hand-tatted lace project, but boy I don't know if it's for me

Interesting watching your hunny walk back & forth in his socks (in the mirror next to the sofa)! What was the rest of his wardrobe?? ;-)
