@c0mm0n_sense2 жыл бұрын
@@aimelilithe Zip it, 3rd worlder. If you had bought this DVD set or seen it all, you'd know that Donald Fagen introduced her when he went through naming the band. She's a backing singer that was unfortunately given a moment in the spotlight, ruining it for me. There is tons of talent worth mentioning before her but you dont see anyone else crying about it, do you? It's always some crybaby woman wanting more than everyone else. Go play with rope.
@mitchgawlik11752 жыл бұрын
Ms. Monet didn't take it to the street, she took it over the top. There is such a thing as too much "soul". I can understand the desire for a gospel sound but sometimes it's taken too far. The tune, the band, you couldn't ask for more.

It was 1982 and the Doobie Brothers were on their “farewell“ tour. I worked in a health food store directly across the street from the Allentown, Pennsylvania Hilton, which Doobie Brothers had rented the top two floors of. Well, who should come walking into the health food store, but the whole band, including Michael McDonald Saying that they wanted to buy some drinks to take with them on the road for their next gig and Washington DC. Needles to say one of the high points of my life! I got to shake Michael’s hand as well as the other boys in the band. I will never forget it. The only other major unforgettable experience regarding rock legends was when I got to ride in a limo with Deep Purple, but that’s another story for another time. :-). Peace.
