Every engine should have a manual fuel cut of valve and use it Lots of engines destroy with fuel in the oil, after drain it’s best to flush with cheap oil and then fill with good oil, new carb a must for sure

The manifactured Date if your mower March 1st and either 2000 or 2010 mtd has a stupid label system
