I have two of them that my sons got me for father's day a long time ago. As a mechanic I just never fond them that useful. I still have them in my box because they were pretty excited to find a tool to buy for me that I didn't have. They were a gift from my sons and will stay in the old Mac Roll Around until I die and one of them inherit them. lol

They work pretty good as a punch holder 👍🏻

I have a set of those that I inherited. I use them occasionally to hold a bolt while I tighten a nut. They grip well.

These would be perfect for an oil change tech or as a handle for a chisel

This design is used on some firefighter hydrant wrenches. Works on the pentagonal and square drive valves

Got a medium and a large one many years ago. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Ended up not using them much but still in my box and drag one out occasionally. They are well made.

I like how they don’t really wobble like standard but I don’t really use adjustable wrenches too often so when I do it’s nice that there’s a less chance the bolt rounds off

Craftsman had another model of similar design before this one. It's handle was much like other Craftsman wrenches and USA made (No.44663 & No.44666). Stanley had a version called "The Claw". I liked the Stanley over the newer model Craftsman, like the ones you have. I found the Stanley versions could handle a bit more torque before twisting the jaw protrusions.

I could see this being nice for starting nuts so you can fish in somewhere without dropping it while you run a bolt in from the backside.

Best adjustable wrench that doesn’t round off a bolt
@2600_JoshАй бұрын
They haven’t caught on because of the size of them the only hold fasteners up to a Certain size and can’t be used on anything you can’t get the tool around so They were just fazed out for a lesser tool

these were junk at the time, and though well made, are still junk as a useful tool. basically a nut holder - no more than that
