Swedish Pop Rock duo, ‪@roxetteofficial‬, hold a special place in my musical upbringing, so being able to provide guitar and the male vocal part of the ‪@singitliveworld‬ recording of 'The Look' was super cool. Nikki and I take a 'Joyride' down memory lane as we reminisce about our connection to the song and our time in the studio. To say it was 'Almost Unreal' would be an understatement.

Hey Crafty and Nikki. Thanks so much for taking me down memory lane with all the Roxette songs you mentioned. All of their songs were hits in my opinion. "Fading like a flower", "Spending my time" and "Listen to your heart" are some of my favourites. But also the up-tempo songs were fantastic. Marie was such an idol for me, both voice and look wise. She just matched perfectly with Per. Roxette was the first band I saw live on stage, here in Germany. The two of you did a great job with "The look". A huge thank you to you and the band. Must have been love is a song I can recognize from one second of the intro. The intro is just drums but the beat and drum sound (a Roland drum machine if I'm not mistaken) is completely unique to that song. If I were on a quiz where you have to guess a song from one second sample, I'd ace that song.

Hi Crafty, I am so pleased that you have shown everyone how good you are at the front. We need more of you on lead vocals. Nikki on BV's what could be better. Stuart seems to be able to take any role in a band and is great. Damien and Mario are solid and punchy as always and the master Darren, BV's, keyboards, arrangement, production and a perfect mix. If I remember right, "The Look" became a hit here in the states after a foreign exchange student (presumably from Sweden) bugged a Minneapolis DJ to play it. Once it was played, the phone lines lit up asking "What is this great song!?" Roxette had other great songs you didn't mention (can't say them all) like "Joyride," "Dangerous," and "Church Of Your Heart."

So you answered a lot of questions for me, like you stack up a load of songs in one day at the studio, and there is a studio man doing the camera work . All that organise it is a big effort to consistently make the deadline with everyone still smiling. The final product has to be the driving force behind it. Think I was drunk at a huge club downtown Toronto. Was told I had a blast. Used to hang out with a skinny singer named Sebastian Bach. Zepplin cover band at The Gasworks called The White. Back to Roxette. Sebastian was approached by one of their promoters in America. He did well.

He lives in little old Launceston, Tasmania and is also a guitar teacher.
