17:30-17:45 is a masterful display of the Danaher DS back attack system. Craig Jones controls the same-side arms, left on left, right on right. Pushes the top arm down, instantly transfers it to his left hand, threads his right leg through the arms, then switches his left foot over right to lock the arm in. Then at 17:45 he isolates the other guy's fingers in the smoothest handoff and stretches the arm. Goodnight Irene

I'm used to seeing masters at their craft pretty often, I'm a lucky guy. Watching this video I realized one thing. People at a high level know where to put all their focus, this leads to an emotionless face. One very complex thing to handle are emotions. They are only planning and reacting. They only focus on the essentials, and they have so many levels internalized.

some interesting moments annotated (i'm just a novice and some of these may have names, but i can only describe their mechanics) 0:30 - Craig gets to a guillotine by rolling the opponent over him, turning upside down to grab it and then having them rotate into it as they try to recover and drive into him. 5:50 - everybody talks about Mighty Mouse tossing a guy and catching an armbar on the way down. But this is actually on a new level: kickflip him and catch the armbar. *pause at 7:50 - very interesting defense by the opponent, they convert what could've been a triangle into just a squeeze on their head by trapping the arm so it's all connected from Craig's right leg through their head, into Craig's right arm, into the opponent left arm, and into Craig's left leg. It can't get to the neck because of the way Craig's right arm is pressed against the face. 9:52 - Craig knows the opponent wants to drive forward while Craig's angled to their left. He gets the hook in the leg and doesn't allow them to land on top so the moment they land sideways he kicks out with the hooked leg to rotate over into top. 10:08 - having gained side control, Craig snaked his left hand under to grab a funky kimura, which actually works so long as he then maintains a certain position, since the tricep extension of his arm going down to twist the kimura is stronger than the arm's ability to resist the rotation. 11:10 - Craig repeatedly makes the opponent carry his whole weight on his arms til they mechanically fail due to the angle and weight, and then says "this guy's gotta do bench press!" 14:34 - Craig applies momentary pressure from the mount with his arm behind the opponent's head while noticing they want to escape to their left. he removes everything as though he had failed to set up a submission he had planned, and they immediately move toward their intention; he uses this asymettry of their upper body to rearrange his base and roll backward and away, yanking their neck toward him and taking the back. 17:11 - Craig doesn't take a RNC - i wonder if it's cause he's being chill or is there some reason why it doesn't work well to take one from there? 18:20 - Craig cover's the opponent's mouth as a joke, ahahhaha

google danish covid trials (study with the best methodological approach aka dopelblind and controlled, stating masks do not really cause any difference in infection risk compaired to non mask). Masks arent even that effective from a purely scientifical perspective...

@@ausserirdischesuniversum2235 Hi! I googled "danish covid trials" and I found an article published this year March by Annals of Internal Medicine; authors Bundgaard et al. "Effectiveness of Adding a Mask Recommendation to Other Public Health Measures to Prevent SARS-CoV-2 Infection in Danish Mask Wearers". I am assuming this is the study you are referencing, since it was the top suggestion from Google. Please correct me if you meant another study. The study I found, however, does not say at all what you said. They don't test masks. They are studying the effectiveness of "recommending the use of masks". About the methodology: they explicitly state as their limitations that they did not use blinding, have inconclusive results, missing data, variable adherence, patient-reported findings on home tests and did no assessment of whether masks could decrease disease transmission from mask wearers to others. They conclude that _telling people to wear masks_ had little effect on the number severe covid cases when mask use in general was "uncommon". Never do they conclude, say, or even imply: "Masks arent even that effective from a purely scientifical perspective". Since it's still possible I found the wrong study, feel free to send me the correct article if this is in fact the case. I'm still under the impression that masks do work, but if there is contradicting evidence to this I'm happy to learn. I wish you a nice day!

@CountfilmsTV2 жыл бұрын
It’s true. Most people think bjj is easy but the conditioning aside from the skill set HAS to be developed
