I'm literally still here because she was tough enough to love me through and out of 7 years of alcoholism after my little brother passed away. In my unimportant opinion Craig Morgan has the clearest, strongest, and most emotional vocals of all Male country artists!! This man clearly didn't get the recognition he deserved, but that's why I think so much of him, because it wasn't about him being recognized by millions, I think he was telling his fans that God, and our faith in him. and faith in our family, and faith in one another is everything!!! Five years ago i found out that my Aunt, at the time she was 23 had cancer. She had treatment, and it went into remission. This past Friday, i found out that it is back. Shes now 28, only 4 years older than me. She has intestinal cancer, and i know in the song that its talking about breast cancer, but either way, its still a song that makes me cry like a baby. Every time I hear this song, I remember my grandmother. She beat lung cancer and was left with half a lung, she had leukemia, and was diagnosed with brain cancer but she stood strong until the good Lord called her home. She really did wear that wig to church every Sunday. What’s crazy is that I found out after she was gone that I am adopted.. she never treated me any different than my 2 half brothers. My mom is my hero and so is my dad. Battled breast cancer while caring for three-year-old me, my six-year-old brother, and a terminally ill mother-in-law. My dad was her rock and support during that time. Thankfully it was caught early and she survived. Unfortunately, the side effects of chemo took quite a toll on her. Everytime I hear this song it reminds me of my Grandma. We lost her in 2007 to breast cancer. She fought it for 6 years. We played this song at her funeral, and as it progressed it had upwards of 250 people crying hysterically. This song is what she represented, nothing slowed her down. My momma passed from breast cancer when I was 2 and a half. Family members tried to call cps thinking my dad couldn't "handle" it all. This is the song I played to the slideshow at my mom's funeral, I lost her to metastatic breast cancer in 2007 10 months after her diagnosis at age 48. She had a 7 and 9 yr old Still to raise and was going thru divorce. Not once from the time she got the "call" from the Dr. to the end did she break down or lose faith. She wore that wig to church, hands held high singing amazing grace, her fav song, and walked door to door to help elderly community members with their chores after chemo treatments. She never showed fear and was my rock and hero. This song literally hit us so hard how it could have been written for her. i think it is awsome that you spoke up about this and ty...my husband has said similar about me, we have 3 kids and he is disabled with Epilepsy, Complex Siezures, Severe chronic migraines and Hemiplegic migraines for just over 5 years and somany people didnt think i would stick around for the first 6 months let alone 5 years...we are getting ready to celebrate our 13th anniversary jan first...It is amazing what you can do when you want something bad enough

I grew up without knowing my father until I was 7, when he got custody of me from my grandpa, that year I moved from West Virginia to Illinois to live with him, his new wife, and their 5 kids... that same year we found out he had cancer, they gave him 6 months, that tough SOB lasted 6 years. He passed away when I was 13, he got extremely sick during those years but still worked 2-3 jobs to provide for us. I'm 19 now, and following in his footsteps. I listen to this song & go back & think about my Mom :( Lost my Mom to breast cancer on Dec 1,1998 ! She was the strongest woman I knew. Bout to lose an Aunt to Cancer any day now. I agree! Amazing song. I was diagnosed with cancer back in 2005 (Luekemia). I was only 20 years old and had a three year old and a three month old. I am proud to say that I am a SURVIVOR! This is my song!

My mom was told she had cancer a few years ago. When she was told that my big sister was in the hospital fighting for her life my mom couldn't go see her bc she was very sick. Mom cried and cried, we finally found a way for mom to see her my mom is one of the toughest women I know and I am so glad she won that round! Now here it is almost 7 years and it's back again..

This song reminds me of my mother, who battles through every day as an end-stage kidney failure patient. She's the strongest person I know. I almost lost her last December, when she had blood clots go through her heart and into her lungs. Before I was born, she was basically told she would die at 25. Last year, she turned 40. Every day, she faces immesurable challenges with courage. Thanks, Mom, for being there for me.

This song is so beautiful and touching. One of my mom's co-workers at the age 40 was diagnosed with cancer in her leg about a year ago. She was a single mother of 4 young children. I began making meals for her and her family weekly. She was a STRONG woman. She never gave up on her fight with cancer even when the doctors told her there was nothing more they could do. But eventually it got the best of her. She died about a month ago and will forever live on in the lives of others.

This Sweet Man has got to be one of the Strongest ppl alive. I think his deep Faith in God is the only thing getting him thru the death of his Son Jerry 2 years ago & I watched him on the Kelly Clarkson show talking about his new song "My Father, My Son, and The Holy Ghost", he said once he recorded it that he'd never sing it again but Blake Shelton kept calling him & sending him texts encouraging him that it would help him and so many others who've lost children but everytime Craig sings it, he can't get thru it without crying. This sweet Man has aged 20 years just in the past 2 years since losing his Son. It's not natural to bury our kids before us. So Sad. Plz Pray for him and his family. 💔🌹🙏🌹💔

My great grandfather had several heart attacks and getting to the last 5 years of his life the doctors said he had 15% of his heart still working and gave him weeks...well as i said, he made it another 5 years. and in those last years he cooked huge dinners, he laughed, and he loved. He survived Pearl Harbor aboard the USS Taneys. Hauled mutilated burnt bodies from the ocean, diverted the course of a torpedo saving his ship and everyone aboard, was a missionary to a dozen countries. He's my Hero
