The Move Topological brush also helps in moving separate polygroups or areas where there are gaps in topology like lips without having to mask.

Can you tell me how I find the setting that makes a new IMM primitive into a different polygroup color automatically? I just cannot find it anywhere I look on the internet and the way you don't explain it seems like it's so straightforward
@CraigPerko
@CraigPerko Жыл бұрын
So, the polygroup colors are automatic. If you turn "polygroup view" on, it shows each polygroup as its own color. You probably don't have "view pologroups" toggled on. (It may also be called "show" or "visualize" polygroups.)

how you check the proportions how you know that the proportions are right and accurate can you explain ?
@CraigPerko
@CraigPerko 2 жыл бұрын
I can't tell you how to "check" proportions, because that's part of your character design. However, there are tools to overlay images, if you have character art you're using as a baseline.

One thing that bugs me is some characters don't have a complete model sheet(front, side, back view) even then it's either in a pose or an angled view. How would I go about blocking out in these cases? I also have trouble marking the distances between each part, does it have to be exact or approximately there?
@CraigPerko
@CraigPerko 3 жыл бұрын
I think you'll just have to approximate.

I am very beginner. Is there any documentation for beginners.
@CraigPerko
@CraigPerko 2 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of ZBrush beginner tutorials, but as usual for industry standard tools, the documentation itself is crappy.

hello any reason why switching between masked objects when holding the ctrl+click does nothing? it only masks / unmasks the same object, while the other stays uneditable. HELP!
@CraigPerko
@CraigPerko 4 жыл бұрын
To invert the mask, you need to control-click the background, where there's no objects.
@svetlinx

This was good. Really helped me get more control of isolating objects. Is it possible to delete objects or do you have to undo?
@CraigPerko
@CraigPerko 3 жыл бұрын
You can absolutely delete objects. If you're doing it like the video, there is an option on the menu to "delete masked" or "delete unmasked", that'll do the trick.
@thePadlockesTech
@thePadlockesTech 3 жыл бұрын
@@CraigPerko Here's a silly question: which menu are we talking about?
@CraigPerko

@@BarPBarPkoyanee A paint brush will change the object's actual color. Change your brush to "paint" to paint colors. The polygroup coloration is something for organizing parts, not for final painting.

Well, basically you just turn it back on and, any time you want to trigger it, control-draw a little box in the background. You should be able to find tuts specifically about that if you search.
